Using a VPN I’m trying to have my laptop and my brothers iPhone on the same network.
He can then use the App to see all his stats while riding and if the TCP bridge remained open, I would be able to remotely see all the telemetry on VESC tool on my laptop.
At the moment, the TCP bridge via VPN works and I can see the telemetry on Vesc tool but as soon as he exits the TCP bridge tab in the app to look at the stats on the home screen in the App, it closes the TCP bridge connection
Can’t access FlexiBMS screen by tapping battery percentage. It only comes up at startup, and works until I close the status display. It used to work great.
Can’t configure FlexiBMS in expert tab. I only see VESC1 and VESC2. Previously there was a third FlexiBMS tab.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Metr as a sanity check, and now my all time stats are lost. Cloud still has my old logs thankfully. How is it possible that all time distance, consumption etc show zero now, is there a way I can restore them?
I first plug in charger, then start up Unity along with Metr and finally I open the app, so there shouldn’t be any issues with FlexiBMS sleeping.
My FlexiBMS FW version is 0.8, and Metr module and app are at latest.
Now that Metr also supports Smart BMS, maybe the BMS functions deserve their own screen in main menu? That would also be more intuitive than tapping a random widget that doesn’t look like it can be tapped
Cool! I mean the fact that you can connect with VESC Tool when your brother is somewhere else. It should also work with mobile networks (but depends on the network configuration, that’s why you sometimes have to use VPN).
At the moment the only solution I could think of is dual VESC, each with Metr Pro, two phones, one for TCP bridge, one for telemetry.
The reason for this is that I removed support for firmware versions that do not include STM ID in the version header. Can you please update your FlexiBMS to 0.9? I am almost sure batter percentage issue will go away too.
It all started as a cool experiment with DieBieMS and slowly evolved Maybe it makes more sense now to put BMS realtime data in a separate tab.
Found an interesting bug with my latest log. If I zoom in, I get higher indicated max battery amps. Actual max seems to be 76A, which happened when first riding across Seabright, between the two bridges. When I zoom out to see the entire log, max becomes 51A.
It is a known problem, chart has a maximum of 2000 points to speed up rendering, intermediate points get dropped. Sometimes important points (with max) get dropped. When you zoom in, you get more detail. I did this like 3 years ago, pushing above 2000 points felt like performance took a hit back then. Today I increased the value to 6000 and it seems to be okay, with much more detail. Funny thing, now you see another value 98.5A which you probably didn’t even know about before
Browsers / javascript and hardware all get faster, thanks for bringing this up again.
I want order a metr module but I haven’t found a definitive answer to which one I should order if I am using a stormcore 60d. Should I order the metr pro unity version or the metr pro version? thanks
Hi Roman,
I would like to know how is possible to share my records, I have the old module, all the account options are greyed out.
I need this share feature for the beta test group of the little focer.
