The Definitive Guide to Metr App / Metr Pro

Hi, ive got a problem with my unit. It connects fine and records good data. But when i try to enable a different mode, it just times out

@Bionic24 total Ah and Wh are buffered by VESC. Most likely your BLE connection died and then recovered (that’s why gaps)

@Rosseland what VESC firmware?

It would be neat if you could bring in heart rate data from another source. I would also like to be able to compare segments for improvement. For instance fastest 1km and so on.

Also the only time I the voltage isn’t searching is when it’s charging. I’ve already read that it was a “feature” of the flipsky. Should I turn smoothing up past 1.5. How high is too high?

Heart rate? To see how nervous people are riding esk8?:joy:

Yep. Tonight’s night ride in a closed park was pretty sketch. It would have been interesting to compare where in the route it spiked. Coming from human powered sports, it’s strange not to see it. I may be the only one who cares. Lol.

Would have also been interesting to see heart rate when bioboards went 98 kph with their new board :scream: :grimacing:

@rpasichnyk Not entirely sure where to put this but my Metr Pro wiped the configuration off my Unity and disabled the internal Unity BLE. It also made it so that when plugging a computer directly into the Unity you were not able to apply config. Once I removed the metr everything worked like normal and I could apply config etc. Pretty bummed since now I can’t use the Metr’s special statistics and all of its features. :man_shrugging: Guess that’s the end of Metr for me for the time being.

Never had this problem or the others when I ran metr Pro on my Unity, but then I had the metr Pro Unity version. Which do you have? Does this behaviour change when you remove the stock Unity BLE?

Metr Pro non unity. I didn’t try removing the built in BLE😃

Its connected to unity,

I am having the same was on Metr Pro Unity 4.3 something. then i upraded to 5 and 5.5… in the hopes i could remote connect to Pc or something,

This unity USB C fell off (and somehow broke internally too) And i cant seem to connect my winning remote to the Raptor…

Edit i am on Unity 23.46 version… Hoping to upgrade to go for using my WAND but for now id just like to discharge the poor board.

In the past, I had issues updating my Unity since it has no USB C port and Metr Pro Uniy did the job perfectly even Remote Calibration.

could you explain in rookie language how i use TCP to connect to my PC - and am i able to use the Focbox (windows) application (on the last version) or do i need to use the VESC tool (the official one)

The issue is that my winning remote connects to the transcicer but wont accept being calibrated in the app, in any case i can’t seem to spin the wheels besides motor testing

experiaceing this too  damn all the issues hahaha!

Same boat same phone sir, Hope we both get a response. I gotta stop updating crap that works heh

That post was 2 months ago, old module stopped working, not Metr Pro.
You can use this version https://github.com/rpasichnyk/vesc_tool/releases and connect directly if your PC has BLE

Hmm, not sure what happened. Updated metr to 5.5 and now it’s not connecting to my phone

I had to forget the device and re-pair. I’m sure you already tried it.

Edit. Realized you’re on the unity one. Still had to re-pair when I updated version but not 5.5

Hey Roman, since the last updates on the web viewer on my phone the slider stats cover the information of the bar

I think it’s due to my phone being lower resolution / screen size than what most people have these days

Is there something that can be done to improve it? Maybe move zoom button to the side?
