The Definitive Guide to Metr App / Metr Pro

I want a metr but not that bad!
Might be time to find a vendor in the us to carry your product…

 still waiting…

Hey,

I installed a metr pro on a unity and removed the integrated bluetooth module (didn’t like the unprotected connection).
I can’t seem to connect to the focbox ui app (metr app works fine), am i missing something ?

@rpasichnyk since you guys added satellite view, anyway to also enable 3D view?

What firmware are you running on your Unity? The Foxbox UI will not support FW > 5.x. You updated the firmware on the Metr Pro Unity module? (Clicking on the blue gear beside your module in the device list)

So sorry to hear it takes that long. Just checked your tracking and it looks like it reached the US on May 15, 2020 so I hope you will receive it very soon.

For all other people from the US that have ordered but their orders are still not shipped. Checking my shipping companies website every day but it is still not possible to ship to the US. Looks like shipping to Canada should work again.

Firmware 23.46 on the unity, and 5.5 on the metr.

Not sure what changed but it seems to works now… I tested several time over 2 days and it wouldn’t connect.

Sorry bout that

I’ve had my unity since the second pre order batch and just about to start putting my board together finally. I also have a metr unity. Just wanted to make sure there wasn’t a new protocol for updating these two together now. Should I start with the internal BT module to update my unity then install the metr and update?

Update Metr Pro UNITY firmware first (click on blue gear).

Actually the order is not very important. But latest Metr Pro firmware supports all unities, thats why my recommendation.

Anyone else get pinged with nonstop DRV error notifications by phone, airpod, and watch?

All notifications have and are always turned off. I thought they were. I’m pretty rigorous about not being bugged by a machine.

In the middle of a sick one, one I wasn’t going to stop for unless I smelled smoke or saw fire.

It wouldn’t stop, pulled head phones, turned off watch. Forced closed app. Rode on through the night.

There are no logs even though I actually started record this time.

I don’t believe it. I’ll check with laptop later.

What’s wrong with MOTOR2? Why the big disparity between it and MOTOR1 current?

Any idea why voltage reading is going wild? Batt is at 49V(12S) and it’s going wild between 85 and 100%. Up and down. Set up is compete and firmware updated.

Read through the thread again and saw that it could be fixed by turning in smoothing and increasing the value until it stops searching. I’ll try it in a bit.

Had to turn smoothing up to 1.5. Is that normal for a flipsky vesc?

Flipsky vescs always have a super shitty voltage reading. On my Tb 4.12 vesc i have less than 0.25 smoothing. On a test flipshit vesc it was 0.9~

Great that you finally received the package. :+1:

Other packages that were even shipped before yours (beginning of April) to Canada and the US are still not in the destination country. So sorry for everyone that is still waiting for their order, but we cant do anything to speed up delivery.
To everyone that ordered and still hasn’t received tracking information. We are still waiting for Deutsche Post to accept standard packages to the US/Australia again, but we have no idea when that will be possible again.

Today I did a ride on my Onewheel. Normally the logs are solid as can be but today it has big gaps. Same phone, same Bluetooth, no updates in the last few days as far as I can see.

Total amount of Amps drawn from the battery is spot on so this would imply no breakups in connection? Or is this information also buffered.
