Btw guys, do you think this x 2 as a series connection is good for an occasional 10 sec of 100 amps?

4mm2 is roughly equivalent to 11 AWG.

I keep meaning to grab one of those but the shipping on the big enclosure + bulk supply keeps costing as much as the bare unit. Do you use the 60/72V ones they sell alongside the regulator or what?

I got the 60v PSU that comes as part of the ‘bundle’, from Banggood. It wasn’t too much money I don’t think. But it was a while ago so I’m not sure…

Took it apart n doubled up on some 0.15x8mm, any critiques, pointers or tips? plan is to weld some tabs onto it for series connectos

Thanks, then it will be more than enough.

Do not weld to the middle of the negative terminal. Also the welds look a tad cold. Have you made a pull test already?

I agree with @Linesflag, avoid the middle 3mm of the negative end. That’s where the internal spot weld is done.

This is the inside of my fume extractor tube after 3ish months of use. I believe most of that stuff is from flux fumes. Make sure you guys are well ventilated while soldering.

I’ll post pics of the filters soon

It’s so weird how it’s stringy… imagine that stuff in your lungs.

I mean it’s basically the same as smoking

I am always careful to not breathe the fumes as much as I can but I’m sure some still get in there

I wear an n95 and a have a fan slightly pointing to me. Some moments the fumes swept towards me though and I smelled it. I don’t feel good about that. Am I worrying too much?

Why point the fan towards you lol

Any fumes that are coming at me gets pushed away. It’s perpendicular to my desk, it’s not bringing the fumes to me.

It’s not ideal to inhale any of it but it’s somewhat unavoidable. The moment I smell it I move away to fresher air. I also hold my breath when I know there will be lots of fumes. Glad to hear ur running a fan as well.

My mini extractor is all white and nasty after about 5 batteries, I’ve been wearing a mask and it’s definitely helping to have both

Can someone check this?

I have 4x 4s6p modules I built that I want to connect in series to one BMS

Looks correct to me, running bypass it looks like.

As long as all of your cells are oriented properly it should work

Obviously assuming your BMS #1 is negative batt 1
