still, you can leave all those bms, connect them in parallel so they are 2sxp, use step down to 1s for usb output and you can charge your phone
If I got you right, you would like to use those bms for 12s pack but with 6 x 2s charge only bms? I am thinking hard about it but I am not sure if it would work. I guess it should?

I feel that balance current is a topic not properly explored when folks discuss BMS’s on this forum.

Or rather, speaking for myself, I dont know enough about balance current and comparing BMS’s, and my reading on this forum has not shed a lot of light on it.

It seems like since most of us are using BMS’s as balance chargers only, balance current should be one of the main factors considered when looking at different BMS options. Is there a thread about balance current and comparing different BMS’s?

Just use 25mm everywhere you can simpler easier and better in the end

No Problem!!! thanks… I’m not dissuaded… I normally charge to 4.0v~4.1v 12s2 or 3p with quality cells and balance charge once a week or so!!!

EDIT:
and I’m not above looking into moving the entire charging balancing operation off the board and out of the enclosure.

I liked your way so I copied and did similar.
Left some extra nickel that I drilled a hole in, did a knot with the wire, soldered and then put a shrink tube on it.

Anyone have a source for 15mm or 30mm wide pure nickel? Looking for 0.2mm or thicker if possible. Bonus points if I can get it shipped to the US in less than a month :wink:
