I think the other mulimeter is just broken.

It was a cheap one I got from Harbor freight. I think I messed it up when I used it with the prongs in the wrong port.

I just tested them both on new 2 AAA battery.
The new mutimeter showed 3.17 and the old one showed 3.21

With the AAAs either could be right. I get about 1.596 V per cell on a meter I trust with brand new cells. I would say you’re probably okay and the 43.3 V measurement was just high, but I can’t promise. Also that Klein looks like a fairly reasonable meter and better than most Harbor Freight junk, but even a good meter can be out of calibration.

I have a vx2 remote. I am going to set up the vesc and see what the it says the voltage is at.

Is there anything I should know before setting up my vesc

vescs are notoriously bad for measuring voltage.

Ok thanks for letting me know. Can I have my wheel and pulley on the motter when iI set up the vesc?

yep

Crisis averted. It’s situations like this where my 3 multimeters come in handy lol

At low battery multimeters get really weird too

I’d have a lot more money and some shit prebuilt that I dont know how to fix or can’t get parts for

I’d have a lot less scars… or maybe a lot more

I’m liking my lipos more and more the more i read this thread. I use 2, 6s, 30ah batteries with a programable charger that I set at 1v less than full charge for each pack to avoid overcharging. From my understanding it also helps extend the life of the battery.

This isn’t my exact charger but almost. With mine you can watch each cells voltage as it’s charging. I also cut the XT60 off and put the XT90 in its place. You might consider something like this to prevent overcharging. I’m pretty sure you can find them for 10s and 12s as well. And you can charge almost anything with it.

You have lower energy density with LiPo cells, you’re missing out on a higher power to mass ratio.

huh seemed normal to me… I will check once more.
