Does anyone have a good (reliable and fast shipping) source for insulator rings in the 21700 size? I’ve been using IMR but would prefer fishpaper over plastic insulator in the future.

Wait isn’t the difference between common and separate basically discharge/bypass or charge and discharge/bypass?

I

pics or it didn’t happen, lol

Sparking usually indicates you made poor contact. A proper weld shouldn’t spark. Make sure to press firmly

Recommendations for a 12s smart BMS? Anything cheaper than a DieBieMS because that stuff is EXPENSIVE, and iOS compatible

This bad boy will do you right. The balance current is nothing to shake a stick at, and its not exactly compact, but other than that I have no complaints. Its very simple to use once you figure everything out, and it does its job. If you order from this website, I advise paying for expedited shipping if you want to get in within a month.

iOS supported? And they include the Bluetooth dongle with it?

Just means theres 3 wires vs 2 coming from the BMS. There’s B-,P-,C- for solit, or commonport has the C- and B- combined. I usually use common when bypassing discharge so I don’t have to have the 3rd wire clipped hanging off.

I have one of those the bluetooth module is included.

They don’t make the ios app it is third party. It is free for basic use but to program you have to pay a fee.

Always order extras.

Thats why I use my Android Phone to set the parameters for the Smart BMS.

Have you noticed the leads on a BMS can be shuffled to spell PCB, which is a component in the BMS?

What is the deal with the ‘computer module’ that the have?

Thats a programming module, in lue of the Bluetooth. Dont bother with it, just use the Bluetooth, which is included. The iOS app i hear is better than the Android app, though im not sure if you still have to pay for the version that allows you to change settings.
