@Tony_Stark missed a beat here when naming RTS ![]()
What is TITS?
Haha yeah i figured that much, i was hoping for a more detailed explanation ![]()
Im guessing more power to the outside wheel

What is TITS?
TITS has an additional letter so it’s 33.33% better
but RTS is only 25% less. pocket the difference.
Is the name of this board a combo of ankle “wrecker” and ankle “reacher”…?
As in…
“reach” for your ankles… im about to “wreck” my ankles
That’s A LOT of processing power ![]()
Super exciting. Will the goal be to increase traction on loaded wheels, or add power steering or some combo?

Overbuilding the hardware so I can experiment with whatever I want in software ![]()
Haha right on. I wonder if you could make an electronic steering damper by tying a diagonal torque split to a gyro measuring the rate of lean.
Very interesting idea, worth experimenting with!
Same vein as antilock braking and traction control… still unsure if my hardware will be fast enough to form a meaningful closed control loop. I’m expecting my main control loop to be running at 50~300Hz (tbd), so CANbus loading is probably going to be the bottleneck🤣
Maybe! But if rider motions or a speed wobble only happens in low single digit Hz, maybe you only need low double digits refresh rates to resolve it accurately. Latency would definitely be super important for a damping operation, though
@tuckjohn you are nuts man. I just read through this entire thread in one sitting… what a journey.
I found my way here because I think i am having a similar issue to you with the iron losses.
I originally got these for a build that I was doing at 15s. The build was good, but I felt like the 7490s were getting crazy hot and thermal throttling… pretty quickly i switched to 6495s and it seemed to solve my issue immediately.
I was just re-working one of my builds which is at 12s so i figured id try pulling the 7490’s off the shelf again.
this board is
12s
(2) 7490 @ 179 KV
16t motor pulley
68t Wheel pulley
193 mm wheels
when out for a ride the other day, it seems to run great. but after a while of riding around pretty hard, i came to a stop and then tried to go again and there super limited power.
I took 2-3 minutes to pull open the smart bms app and the vesc tool app. Nothing really seemed off, so i hoped on the board and got full power again.
It sounds pretty similar to what you described.
however with my much lower KV, I would think that I might be able to make it work.
I realized in vesctool my thermistor value was wrong so I updated to B3950. I was planning on bumping the temps to 100c and 115c also to see if i can get what I need out of the board.
I am not racing the board. just cruising around 25-35 mph. and some light offroad.
I am curios if you have any advice other than upping temps and fixing thermistor value.
if I cant avoid thermal throttling, then i guess my plan is to grab some reacher 6485’s. Its that or dust off the flipsky6385 that i have sitting in the closet.
