Depends on the TSA agent, more like. Each agent seems to do whatever they feel like doing, and you can argue with them at your own risk. If someone is powertripping today, good fucking luck trying to wave the airline’s rulebook in their face.
Yeah I’d say it would be best to err on the side of caution. Is there any market for used 9.5ah 4s lipos over there @TZDKB? It seems most of you guys are using li-ion.
Maybe to the RC scene? I’m aware of only a few stragglers still running Lipos on esk8 (mostly on e-MTB setups).
What in the esk8 crimes is happening here
I see Maytech 6396
I have a set, so if yours happen to be 210kv too you seem the right person to ask how many amps do you think they are good for?
I know they can do more than the 80A it says on the website at least the high kv variety.
I ran em at 12s 90A
Thank you, 12S here too.
I am hoping to reach a good bit more. While Reachers are obviously more powerful than Maytechs I have some ideas for cooling and if I scaled a 6385 205kv to a 6396 210kv (I measured stator size not outer size ofc) it would do 150.4A for 10 seconds according to Reacher’s rating.
I have more time than money so I can drill ventilation holes, remove the big old bearing and lathe shallow fins.
Late edit: I’m light and I know 90A for long is tough, I was more thinking of peak current if I wanted to try some 0-20 times.
Some impromptu drag racing at i2s tonight had me set a new power record. First time hitting the endstop on my remote for any appreciable amount of time lol.

49.9V * 353A = 17.6kW babbyyyyy
The motor currents are basically a step function up to their 160/130A limits. ![]()
Can probably push my setup to do way more then that, but TBD idk if I feel the need for more power ![]()
Megan Recording;
Drag Race Times
It was a drag race, but I forgot to hit record on my racebox ![]()
Looking at the Megan data I can back-calculate my times.
timestamp/calc notes
Start @ 42:16.135
10mph @ 16.968
20mph @ 17.566
30mph @ 18.169
40mph @ 18.970
When writing down these times, I assumed worst-case and used the time of the first data point higher then the speed. So if anything, my actual times were probably less then this.
Note: I started on a hill, hence the non-zero current at start
It was for fun, so we were doing it uphill… about 1~2m of elevation gain (according to GPS). Odometer says about 24 meters for the 0-40 run. So roughly 4~5% uphill grade.
~4% uphill slope.
0-10mph: 0.833s
0-20mph: 1.431s
0-30mph: 2.034s
0-40mph: 2.835s
It’s only ~5hz so it’s accuracy is limited, so take these times with a grain of salt. Even so… LFG!
@DINA_KATCH You were really pushing me with that WTF
ooooohh, dem drag race times are dropping. i need it to start warming up so i can get back out there
One of those runs you hooked up and fuckin LAUNCHED. That board is scary when she hooks up!
FAST AF BOIIIII
Your ankles really do look wreached there
Wait till I get more practice on the WTF!! But seriously your set up is so dialed in its amazing
look everyone, it’s Dina!
I arrived late to track day today, just in time for us to get kicked out.
So we moved to another location and spent the whole time doing drag runs
A full battery of runs later,
Also, not that anyone is tracking this, but also set a time for 0-50mph
Also also, hit a new PB for power at some point
19.6kW ![]()
Megan logs
“stanced”
0-50 ![]()
wheeeeeee daaaang this is some wild stuff, killing it tuck…KILLING IT!!
Cute
