I just built an 18s5p with the AM04 cells and I’m very very happy with the results.
Also have an 18s1p that I’m doing high amperage draw tests with and it’s holding up very well also.
Got another buddy that i built a 20s2p split pack for with them, waiting for it to be installed.
Also have 2 more 18s2p packs on the bench being built as we speak.

If y’all are interested I got a 40PL ct scanned as well as a 30T for tab comparison. I can navigate to any depth and any angle on each of the cells and take a hd picture from it if anyone is interested in anything in particular. Here is a video of the 40PL to give you an idea for what it’s like.
This is really interesting.
What would be neat, is to have a 0.2mm nickel strip welded to the terminals, and see the gaps between welded area and adjacent nickel, to see how much of a gap opens up, and at what distance from the weld(s).
I also wonder if the welds would be visible on the inside of the can, perhaps cloudier electrolyte directly adjacent and slightly thinner metal?
Does this mean I can order a tabless pack from @SBS now???

Nelvick @DIY500AMP.COM imported a bunch of preproduction EVE 50PL.
He tests one of them here, at 40 amps , about 1 hour into this video.
He tested down to 2.6x volts at 40amps and got over 4800mah from it.
For comparison, he got a little over 4000 mah from Ampace JP40, and Eve 40pl, and ~4400 for BAK 45D, and similar for Molicel P50b.

That is correct. He tested my cells. I have cells coming in about 3-4 weeks to the store. They are in pre-order currently I have almost half ot the batch sold already. The next batch will be available by the end of August. Nobody has them anymore until EVE release the next batch. I guess I purchased the full lot they had.
I don’t know why I am so excited that you are getting these EvE 50PL delivered today, or tomorrow.
I didn’t order any, and can’t even come close to stressing these monster cells during discharge.
I wonder who will be the first to put them in an Esk8.

Yes they are the pre-production batch and I got all of the ones available. This is the same batch I send to Mooch for testing and the same I tested as well. This is why are limited quantities. After the reports EVE converted that batch in production and they will start releasing the first production by the end of this month or the next one. That means the first production cells can be available as soon as mid-October or November. I still have only about 350 cells left from the 1300 that arrived.
When are you taking pre orders for the production batch? Any sale going on?
I almost sold everything in pre-orders. I have only 326 Available. I probably will keep few for me.

In one of his videos, if I remember correctly, he indicated that late August was the earliest he expected to be able to place an order for production EVE50PL, then about 45 days after that is when he would receive them, depending of shipping and customs delays.
The previous preorder of the preproduction cells were a dollar less expensive than those currently in stock.
Grammar is pretty good for English not being a primary. I wouldn’t have guessed. Anyways, all my builds will be this winter so I’ll hold off till the next batch. Thanks for the info fellas
My apologies for the misunderstanding! As SternWake mentioned, the next batch (official production), which is basically the same cell as the last pre-production batch, is expected to be released later this month. That’s when I (as a reseller) will be able to purchase it.
Shipping will take about 35–45 days. If I bring the cells by air, the cost would be extremely high I really don’t want to go that route, as it would push the price to $11–$12 per cell. That’s just too crazy.
Also, please note that my first language is Spanish, as I was born in Puerto Rico.
