So i want to install some underglow on my board but cant decide if i should tap into the battery and step down the voltage with this Amazon.com
Or if i should just create another power source with an 18650 and step up the voltage with this Amazon.com
this is what i did, i have a big battery so don’t care much about parasitic draw. i could stop discharge if i wanted to through my bms anyways.

And i have a decent battery but not big. Just a 10s4p. I shouldnt have to worry about parasitic draw (hopefully) but it being a mid size battery its still a concern
step down 9999% easier and I can turn off discharge via bms
