I figured it out


Looks like whatever that little pcb is, it got loose and shorted something inside

That is either the receiver or the integrated Bluetooth module (I think)

I just went to fetch mine

As you can see they are soldered on, so is it likely they got desoldered in the heat?

Yeah i agree, but the solder joints don’t look melted, they kinda look like they just snapped off

Oh thought the fire was caused by this being desoldered and shorting the circuit

If it snapped off is it possible it shorted something else next to it

Also how would that affect the heat of the vesc
Would it be able to cool sufficiently if covered in epixy

Problem with silicone is it does not break loose even. Its nice for sealing your enclosure to the deck though
