I had a dream one time of riding it through sand dunes, throwing up rooster tails. I’m going to make one with larger tires down the line so I can do that. You can’t ride your OneWheel through soft sand, can you? A speedboard should work on packed sand no problem.
I tried your board at the SF cannonball race lol, I remember you kept telling me that it gets more stable the faster you go, I deffinetly believe you, but it was hard to find the courage to get up faster then like 10 mph. I love this! Not In a position to back right now, but i love this and i want it. Will probbaly end up selling some stuff to be able to get it. How does it do with super steep hills? I am talking like 30-35% grades, I live on top of a mean hill in Oakland, wondering if this will get me back up the hill if I do a grocery run on it. Also i saw your Instagram, do you live in Lodi? Lol or just visiting there. I go to lodi alot, have family there.
My fire was due to me being a fucking retard, not the battery or the way it was built
I left it uninstalled under the windshield on a 110 degree day in poway…
Yep… direct light by the glass and on a black fiberglass enclosure
Yikes bro
I think if you had a few more minutes on it you’d be able to start riding faster!
I’m 190 lbs, I’m able to ride it up a 24% grade. MC weighs 125 lbs and can ride up a 29% grade. I’m working on a secret upgrade option for Kickstarter backers that should be around 6000 watts, that should easily handle your street. You can also gear down with an 80T sprocket to get better hill climbing.
We were just visiting Lodi, took the opportunity to a video & photoshoot.
Dude, don’t insult mentally handicapped people that way, even they would know not to leave a board in the car on a hot day!
Lol this guy’s gonna fit in fine
First of all… i like you lol
Before anyone else gets all upset about me calling myself retarded, let me apologize. I have never or never refer to someone who is mentally handicapped retarded. I use that word to describe a special type of stupid. That being said… i was only gonna leave it there temporarily and it only took 2 hrs to get hot enough.
For science…right?
I don’t know if a leash near the spinning tires would be a good idea. How many eboards end up in the water?
I know of one.
@b264
Yes one of mine has been in the Mississippi river. By accident of course
Mines been in a ocean, also by accident.

Re: upgrading it if I were to do a DIY build:
I would use two motors, so I can use two actually available ESCs (like the makerX or two 6.6) to reduce strain on each of them and have redundancy for safety. I am not sure how well that would work out, having two motors drive the same wheel, but space-wise it should work out, placing them vertically atop each other, each driving one side of the wheel.
If you could make the steering arms (or their design) available, I would love to give this a shot!
There is always stuff that can be done to products. A rolling chasis would be fun to work with. Deck sexification, maybe some different wheels, different battery…
Different escs that can run higher voltages.
I think you would see some pretty cool shit if you sold components.
DIY communities find ways to make stuff their own. And even often find ways to improve upon ideas.
Why over-complicate it putting two Motors on one wheel when you can just put one motor on each wheel.
I feel like putting both Motors on one wheel would cause more problems than it solves.
Well the turning of that front wheel might complicate it a bit, but looks reasonable.
