More torque moar better

This too. My goal isnt top end (although im still going to get quite a bit), but to have insane torque haha. Currently geared for 72/15 on 200mm tires, once i step up to 16S I’d probably be looking at a top end of around 45mph - more than enough for me. And if i want more top end, upping the motor pulley tooth count is incredibly easy.
Any word on availability of the Reacher 6495’s they recently released?

I’m a bit confussed with the motor poles.
The 7490 has 10 poles and the 6495 has how many? Because as far as I undertand most 64xx motors are 14. So the 7490 would be better than the 6495 for high voltage aplications with vesc since less poles equal less erpm. Am I wrong?

10 pole pairs which means 20 poles.
A north+south is a pole pair, or two poles.
Most classic esk8 motors have 7 pole pairs, aka 14 poles.

I picked up a used pair of TB 6355s and yeah, same thing happened after about 20 miles.
Had to hammer the ring back in, and add epoxy.
Maybe it’s finally time to try these Reacher motors

My 6485’s have arrived, and my old 7490’s look comically large in comparison (switching to a lower profile HV build on urethane w/gear drives)

Since its revival time anyway, even though i can t exceed 20mph - these motors sound so awesome. Can’t wait to get my gremlins out of my build so i can punch these things hard and see what they do
