Sunday the 19th we were talking about doing a bit longer of a ride. Starting in downtown saratoga and cruising up highway 9 to skyline and back.
I think it will be a good highish speed run. Probably 30-35mph ave and 25 miles round trip

This 988H (pic from online) was my daily ride when i worked a stone-gravel/ manufacturing plant in Amsterdam harbour / Holland. It could load a truck in just 2 hoists/shovels full!

Ha, I love it, Iāve only had 1 job where I ran a 988, as you say usually a rock quarry rig but Iāve run lots of. 980 s . I got to spend 1 month on an ex750 hitachi 5.5 cy bucket, 181,000 lbs, so powerful if you arenāt careful, you can peel the bucket apart like a flower. 5cy is the capacity of a small 10 wheel dump truck.
Operating engineer was not my dream job but itās been good to me.
I used to joke Iād tell women in bars, ā yeah I work with lasers and satellitesā(gps satellites and lasers for setting grade.)
My specialty it taking excavators on very steep hills where the should not go, and tight access, as well as large underground ( pipes you can crawl/ walk through

Also with all that hardware being external did you have to learn how to move you arm around with it in it to avoid hitting it on stuff? I wear my watch 24/7 and still end up hitting it against stuff so I know Iād have to be super careful if I ever need external fixation for any broken bones.

for anyone wondering this loader is BIGGER than you think,you get on at the back fender. When the machine you are running has so many steps to get in it has a frigging landing,you know its big. The one i ran had joysticks,normaly you have a wheel to steer and a joystick for bucket lift and dump,or split bucket finger controls,1 up down,1 dump curl for the bucket ,this has a joystick to steer!!!INTIMIDATING FIRST TIME OUT,id never used that control system, i almost DESTROYED an semi end dump(18 wheel dump truck,sorry) rigs this big,when you make a mistake,you really fuck up!

NEW sk8dad game, see if you can tell when its my typing,or dyslexia,or brain that caused the misspelling the 3 letter words i get wrong are typing or dyslexia,i HAVE figured out how to spell "with "reliably,i correct it as wit more times than i care to admit to. 
My children are brillant,however my youngest has nystagmus and dysgraphia(gifts from dad,if i have dysgraphia,its latent,i am very,very cordinated,no idea where the nystagmus came from). Ronan cant write,not even his name, his eyes bounce on the horizonal plane,not enought hand/eye cordinatin from the combo. But the kid has a 141 IQ. I got him a recumbent trike,newly electrified,he rides it well, i am convinced brain plasticity is letting him form new pathways,he zooms inbetween ballards with inches to spare,i legit cried the first time i saw it. He is doing welll in dad taught self defence too(id have never thought) Wondefulkid, i hope he stops growing soon

No I posted while drinking, far too much information, There is a whols story that goes with the injury,circumstances surrounding it,I have an unconventional story . I donāt talk about it much, I think itās probably cathartic to write it down, but 1 itās too much sharing, 2 it sounds like fantastical lies, it reads like a novel. If I had not lived it I would not believe it, I donāt care to defend it as the truth, because I wish I was making it up.
The first 2 screws ar into the bone you indicate, the small floating pin goes through a few pieces of my joint surface to try to hold it together. The larger pins ( screws) are inserted into my arm bone . I have 2 P shaped plates inside that incision that have 9 screws that sandwich my bone together.
I didnāt have insurance, charity hospital in New Orleans is a teaching hospital, they waited 4 days to do the surgery, they flew people in, I signed a release, they made a instructional video. When they took the screws out with a chrome Mikita drill, there were like 10 students, 1 passed out, there was long curly ques of bone coming off the large screws in my arm, it hurt, but it was very odd feeling. Not recommended
Even though people like you are only asking about the photo, its a complex story,often emotional and i havent thought or talked about it in years,this leads to me walking down memory horror lane, over sharing ,and elaborating more than anyone asked or wants to read . Im a very healthy well adjusted adult with zero issues

Ok here is most of my loop, with excuses,here they come. i cut 6 miles off it, becsause my hands were numb and my feet got wet, the phone is distracting,i didnt want to shoot a crash video. Im off the pace here by quite a bit,ill post the devega but i think avg speed as something shitty like 26mph. and top speed only 38.
