Well i tried to glass frit my board last night.I cut out a cool stencil design, wich promptly went to shit . So i Fritted the whole damed thing, ill have a battery box with rubber on the bottom in the middle so the frit will help it stay engaged.
I want bindings as i tend to have some extrem lean angles,i cant see a good(easy) way to add bindings, hence the CORSE frit job. I added Strontium powder in matching blue, but not enough, so it only faintly glows in the dark. It doesnt show up in photos but the dye i used is irridecent,so when you change your viewing angle it shimmers. The epoxy is self leveling,in my pic the last layer was fresh,so it hasnt spread out yet. I also didnt want the middle of the board to be “naked” as it says Torque boards under the clear coat, but this is an SKP build(far superior).

The Frit process is easy, the stencil is more challenging. If i were more creative it would look better, but im happy with the functionality. I like very corse grip.

ok in the pic it looks like ass, its better in person

Ok @Skyart when things calm down I want to talk about making this thing powered, I’m thinking nothing crazy, say 35-40 mph top speed. And probably want a steering damper

Sweet wheels!

Oh yeah I think we should just go 4wd on this one :eyes::rocket:

will that effect the jumping ability? I am mainly thinking the terrain park for this one .

Not the most creative thing ever but vastly more grip and it shimmers in the light with different viewing angles

I’ve found cutting in the resin with a fine detail brush around where you don’t want frit to work the best.

Masking off didn’t work as well as expected, it was kind of shit actually for detailed stuff. Straight lines, like the ends, it’s fine though

It’s as good as some who were charging for it and have disappeared. (Not that I can talk since my builds look like dogshit.)

I think I had 600-800 miles on my board before the DavegaX was installed. So here are the roughly 2000+ miles stats. The board and entire experience has been such a positive.

Before I got this SKP custom build I was seriously considering giving the activity( sport?) up.

When my MetroboardX craped out on me and I burst the giant cyst on my hip, I lay there bleeding and had decided I was done. So many failures, so much money, So much people telling me “ you are too old for this, act your age🤬” So many walks of shame. I don’t know how many of you have walked home in a leather suit and armor, dragging a 50# board in total darkness, at 1 am , but let me assure you it BLOWS! Your mileage will NOT vary.

I think my actual top speed is 51 mph not 55

My father in law passed away today after a full life of 91 years. I’ll take this opportunity to remind you to call your older loved ones, they will not be around forever. A simple call means so much to them. Take care everyone.

This is with the good tubes right? I’ve honestly given up on the v1 version of these tires.
