half of one.
i feel this plays a big part of false start and everything, I tried riding my floatwheel (same as pint) without my usual shoes and I couldn’t go, it was really really annoying, and it even disabled itself while riding (he thought my foot was off the board)
Nice trick with the additional grip tape on top of the sensor
yeah, this is a part of it I have not explored a lot.
I have not tried different skate shoes with it.
I have my main ones I always use that are Emerica Hsu G6 and I figured those should be good since they are flat soled skate shoes…
they are really worn…
I have done a couple of other running type shoes here and there, but not a lot.
But yeah, with the skate shoes there is a big difference adding the 2 grip tape strips.
Lol what did you do?
Beefy shoes like boots are
Especially if they have a heel block
I ordered the solo plate the same day as the X not realizing it was not gonna fit…
so I got a regular pint bumper for the front and cut the plate in half and only use the front part…
Back end is too beefy?
Agreed. I wear my hiking shoes everyday and even ride my esk8 and onewheel with them. No mounting problems!
Ever heard of fishbones? May help your footpads.
i like my free solution. not paying $$ for this fix.
Several people have had issues with activation with the X.
Myself, @EDness @rafaelinmissouri
and about 64 of my viewers so far have reached out asking me if I also had sensor issues.
Dang 64 lol that’s a lot of messages
i bet they woudl help.
but I don’t want them for the Pint. too small of an area to add a bunch of concave…
I want to find a good resource on poseing the sensors…
but really the grip tape strips make it work pretty well.
Weird, because I have had 0 issues. Maybe a bad batch?
pint/pint x foot sensors are notoriously bad
Really? My pint and pint x have had 0 sensor issues. I had a few failed mounts on my original pint if I was wearing crocs, but then wearing my everyday boots, I had no problem.
No problems at all on the Pint X with crocs or everyday boots.
bruh
Yeah, I know, I rode it in my garage once when it was raining outside with my crocs.
From my good deal of experience nosediving the act of the front footpad slamming down can kind of dump your front foot off, then if you react right what I am saying is the way the board tips forward and your feet come off the pads kick-starts your running in a way. This is coming from riding a onewheel v1 that is totally flat with bad grip on the footpad.
What I mean by this is a nosedive is easier to run out than speed wobbles or jumping off a bike that is usually off road so yeah.
