So many concepts here I just don’t understand, and can only conclude must be insider jargon… Things like: “we”, “budget”, or “obey”?
Anyway, nonsensical nomenclature aside, fun clean build!

So update after today’s first ride.
Good news, everything seems to work. The metr works nicely, the motor mounts are nice, and the board pulls like crazy! Nothing like the evolve.
Bad news, remember to use loctite . Lost one grub screw on the motor mount and one on the motor pulley
. No more riding until everything has loctite. Which kind of loctite do you guys recommend?
Use blue loctite on everything.
Use blue loctite, 243 will do just fine.
Thanks guys. Will get some loctite 243 tomorrow. They have it at work, so should be easy. Strongly considering adding a sticker from my work place since they “sponsored” all the cnc parts, raw materials for machining, wires and screws. And now loctite .
In her right element . I seem to be getting a bit of rattling from the truck/base plate assembly. I have the plastic base plate, do I just tighten it real hard?
Looking good
Check the washers and clearance on the shoulder bolt of the baseplate, maybe there is a bit of play which causes the rattling.
Thanks, will check it!
I was having a talk with my cnc guy earlier today, he has some cnc time available to make 5-10 sets of motor mounts. Would anyone be interested in buying a pair? Pricing would depend on the number of sets i order, but somewhere around 100-120€ ex shipping.
Edit : round crossbars will be included.
I was wondering, wouldn’t be cheaper to cut out that plate from a laser and then just screws to that round clamp from bottom? I dont know prices in your place but in my town that would be bellow 15eur per plate.
anyway, looks cool
I think you are right, it would be easier and cheaper that way. I just prefer the one piece assembly. It looks nicer .
Had a good run tonight. 15km in the forest. Everything is still holding together nicely .
Haven’t updated in a while. Been to busy riding . This thing is awesome. The mounts are rock solid!
I was a bit worried about the plastic top truck mounts, so those have been upgraded.
And the new remote arrived from @Anubis. The old Gt2e is just too big. Looking forward to trying out the vx1 form factor and thumb throttle.
And finally my order for a Davega arrived . This thing looks great @janpom . Can’t wait to get it installed. How have people routed the cable?
Gallery - DAVEGA - see the “installation” section.
If you have a top mounted enclosure, you’ll want to make use of this spacer to get the cable out of the davega housing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3885886
Sweet build
I also moved from a gt2b to a vx1 when I first got one. Its a huge QOL improvement
