Shark Wheels for eskate

Why don’t they want them used for electric boards?

Because then their board wouldn’t be the greatest electric board on the market.

They say it won’t fit, as if there is only one way to connect wheels to an eboard. Now I’m even more excited what exactly will be shipped to me  It might need a custom pulley/adapter (DD in my case) :scream:

I bet thay screwed up the core moulds and Kegel pullys don’t fit after shrinkage. A bolt thro pullys probably fits can always use a drill to give you a bit more tolerance

I do have a technical issue against this wheel. The shark design is about reducing the contact patch to increase efficiency.

To compensate for the lack of grip in the reduced contact patch thay give you 3 edges (the part of the wheel that gives you grip agains lateral (sideways) forces.

This works well for a analog skateboard witch the wheels only see lateral fore’s but we slap motors on the wheels adding a new longitude force the shark wheels design is counter intuitive to been effective with longitude forse.

The wave design just moves the contact patch side to side to help with the uneven ground. Same way tire treads push water to the side.

The rear motorised wheel thay flattened the sides reducing the effectiveness of dealing with uneven ground and stones

Keeping a eye out if this is the case in reality

I think the trade off for traction is worth it, the difference in comfort/handling is prob minimal but the grip benefit severe.

half your wheels are still fully sharkin too

There is no added traction as thay have cut off as mutch as thay added

They just bumped the spec top speed up to 30mph😂 because “some users reported going that fast”. Someone needs to donate one of these boards to science so we can actually test delivered watts, fair performance metrics, etc.

Up to 35mph in some conditions😏

Even if I’ll ever receive my Sharkwheels I’ll never buy anything from them again. Communication is basically non-existant, after googling a bit I found out that shipment is again delayed until december without any email or something. I’m sure they will equip their electric boards first, we that ordered only wheels will come last :frowning: (@Jbev saw you post :frowning: )

Nope

It says on their site their standard wheels are not for electric boards. I’m thinking to make them work someone would have to produce a Kegel pulley with longer “stems” or chop off a part of the back of the wheel like their hub motor sleeves.

you could prob shove them onto the BN M1 drives and they would shave the wheels down for you
jsut ask @KaramQ

These guys are trash. Banned me from posting on their adds because of pointing out there hypocrisy. Saying they were made in the USA while talking trash on chinese products. Then they back peddle saying the urethane was made in the us but the boards came from china. Bullshit specs, and dishonest marketing.
