The perimeter of the cutout has layers of fiberglass cloth and epoxy. It held up for a few months of riding this summer and fall so far, not riding it much now in the winter.

Installed a new Puiada ESC, much smoother acceleration and braking, also much stronger on both. I have to test it on hills but it may even be able to turn 120mm wheels. Unlike the old Lingyi it allows customizing the acceleration and braking curves. And it doesn’t slightly cut power when going over bumps like the Lingyi. Push to start is nice too.

I’m hoping my newly ordered 2024 Puaida ESC has brakes.
I ordered one from Amazon which did not, and back it went for a refund.
My other one in my Dailydriver has 1300+ trouble free miles on it.
The brakes on this ESC are certainly strong, and I like the parking brake feature too.
