I have a problem and buy sooooo much shit. They could’ve stolen something wayyyyy more valuable. If I had a tracking # before it was delivered I would have had a better chance of catching it.

How do the couriers handle situations like that in the us? I mean in case you gave the permit to drop it off on your porch then it’s “your liability”, if not then the courier usually has to compensate. At least that’s how it’s handled here.
There’s usually 4 option:
Deliver in person
Deliver to a neighbor
Try next day
if missed, bring it to a parcel shop.
They “never” just leave packages somewhere if you don’t give the ok, else they are fucked.

I live in a weird apartment building that hidden behind another building with a tunnel going through the first building.
So they usually walk down the tunnel and leave it around the corner out of sight of the general public. A few times, probably a new driver, it gets left in very stupid and obvious places. This is probably what happened here.

They do nothing here. I have security cameras and clearly nothing was delivered because the postal worker left it at the wrong house. I complained to the “postmaster”, they would call the postal worker then get back to me and say “he said he delivered it” end of transaction.
If it was a porch pirate, video get sent to the police, they say thank you and do nothing. This is why I get everything shipped to my office now.

Really sucks having to deal with that. Im very sorry for what happend to @jack.luis Sounds like the experience i had with the police, they just take on the easy pickings (kids with tuned motorcycles, skateboarders, people sleeping on parkbenches) if you are in trouble after a theft or robbery they ignore it or even make fun of you. Like everywhere in life you have to take matters in your own hands.
The package from my beloved santee is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. 
I will keep a lookout for the postman all morning tomorrow
