I respect your opinion. Personally I would have given it a little more time taking the state of shipping logistics into consideration. Split the difference, wait 1 week and then you still have ample time to file. Unless it’s a week long process idk :man_shrugging:

PayPal disputes take quite some time.
The seller has time to respond and present his case.
Dispute=/=instant refund.

Yeah you dont know, me neither and I wasnt taking chances. I think everyone’s got a lovely opinion that just deflects from the facts

Eh looks more like the Move-E Deck than it does the Jed Jr. I remember back when I was interested in Jed (even put down a bloody preorder) , the two iterations that the Jr went though.

If a preorder takes almost 6 months the customer is shit out of luck if the parts are shit or if the parts never arrive at all

That’s exactly my plan. I have no intention of keeping parts and the money obviously, I’ve been a part of this community for a long time and thought that counted for something. Parts ship - dispute drops. If the money is returned and the parts ship I will send the money back to Jeff. It’s really a no lose situation for anyone other than a scammer.

Why hasnt Jeff been chomping at the bit to confirm his identity???

This is true. Perhaps there should have a forum policy where vendors can’t do preorder unless they can ship within 6 months?

Though this becomes an issue when a product needs more than 6 month to be developed or suffers from delays. Just tossing out ideas.

Promises cant be made unfortunately. Someone with a prestine rep could go through some shit or have some bad luck with suppliers.

And then disappear forever.

Damn, as I received my payslip with loads of overtime and was thinking I might jump in the 2nd group order.

On one hand, based on his past record Jeff has given no reason to believe he will not ship. People even started receiving their orders just before this drama started. Though yeah people can look very honest and convincing but still end up doing shady things, as we’ve seen. Like Venom said, everything can look fine till it’s not.

The IP address is quite damning. It can not be a coincidence. Facts can’t lie, people can.

Question is, is there a scenario where it’s not a coincidence and Jeff honestly does not have an idea how that happened? And how plausible is it?

Different grammar/spelling is not strong evidence really -i.e. there are even automated tools like this that can alter messages. Also I am not sure how useful a photo ID would be either, it’s not as if it would prove anything. Personally the only thing that would put me at ease enough to order from Jeff now, would be an explanation that I can believe. It’s a shit situation one way or the other :frowning:

I really hope no one really thought that, because zero chance you would ever do that.

Surely that can only be the answer as to why people are up in arms about a simple paypal dispute? People genuinely think I’m charging back when I’m not mate.

The fact is I triggered a simple protection that’s afforded to all of us that pay correctly. I still believe I was absolutely right to do that

@jeffwuneo is awfully quiet by his standards. I hope hes breaking down doors at the jedboard factory and getting to the bottom of this.
