Now i’m tempted to build a shorter board with this…12s2p/10s3p with the Omakase deck. Only if i can find an enclosure for it…

I have the same questions? Not sure what to do.

Ask him too, he’ll eventually answer

Did you include front wheels with them?
Also I’m guessing my neoboxs will be shipped separately?

If order front wheels it ship with neohub. For neobox second batch can ship this month.

Cool! Thank you for the updates Jeff  looking forward to getting the esc and hubs in. I’ll only be missing a battery pack for my build after that  excited to try these out

Battery hookup has a deal on a123 lifepo cells, can make a nice 14s3p for $50. Unless you’re a lithium ion guy.

Jeff can you clarify? It looks like there is no locking mechanism to prevent the motors from spinning and wrapping the cable wires? It looks like it’s friction fit?

Just kidding, it does look like it is friction fit from comments above. I’m curious to see how this will hold up in high vibration scenarios. Looks really nice though and I have high confidence!

It relies on a collet clamp, the same way that heavy tooling machinery holds bits. The act of screwing down on the axle nut presses a cone between the hub and axle so the frictional forces become stupid high…could get to around 50 to 100 N-m of torque to break loose, wheels get like 20 N-m on the high end so no worry in the slightest

Makes sense :stuck_out_tongue: My morning brain translated collet -> spacer

Bruh it’s like 10am…how do you not know all your machining terminology at the top of your head already!? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Lack of coffee?

For the deck I’m using, I’m gonna have to get a custom flex pack built most likely. I’m using the Sportster and gonna get an @eBoosted enclosure once he is able to ship again

Great work @jeffwuneo

Can you advise the minimum recommended axle length these hubs?

These are designed for a standard truck axle length. I’m not sure you could go shorter than what they are designed for.
