I don’t think anyone have problem with this. We test in factory and on board.

I would be interested to see what the actual holding force is in a stress test of torquing the stator.
Maybe some lok-tite on the cone thing would alleviate worry.

Yeah, me too, it’s easy to calculated knowing the torque they recommended, will do that if I have some time
I think loctite may have the opposite effect in this case, the shear force could be higher than it can handle, so instead of helping if would break lose, not sure on that though

It needs clearance so it can spin 
It locks inside the hangar with the collet. I’ll share videos later.

how hard would it be to mod to 10mm axles? Would it basically just be bearings and a new cone?

It won’t work. The whole motor would need to be redesigned.
