We already make our own new esc design but is not ready yet. Is not based off vesc.
This we make design better and release all file when we finishing.

It’s crazy… I am so used to stuff taking weeks and months that is much simpler than this. And these guys somewhere in a Chinese factory just sit down and pull this off in a couple of days. Huge respect to you and your engineers @jeffwuneo

Actually the maytech vesc 6 have outperformed many other esc in testing and I haven’t got much repair done on anything vesc 6 base
Vesc 6 base hardware are actually better than vesc4. I like the focbox like everyone, but I do admit that the 6 offer some good implementation

Also keep in mind that people begged Jeff to do this clone job. He’s working on his own non vesc based esc as a main project, this was a response to a community need.

I don’t think it’s your place to tell Jeff what he can and cannot do, voicing concern and offering constructive criticism or suggestions is one thing, but saying the work he does for us (which is basically out of the goodness of is heart since it doesn’t sound like he and his people will make much money off this) is a shit show and not worth pursuing is just not cool. As long as he doesn’t sell it under the VESC name it’s not breaking any laws
What he does is staggeringly impressive and if I had more money or less boards I would almost certainly pick up the deck/hubs/esc he offers without hesitation

The deck is solid, the hubs are legit, and the OG FocBoxes are reliable…adding more good stuff can’t make it any worse

Young padwan. Any change can make things worse. Decks have not reached customers except for prototypes. neobox is still in dev. Nothing has been proven. It’ll take a year or more to say the stuff’s reliable.

I don’t get it doesn’t the Focbox share the same open source licence as the VESC does?
Did anyone patent the focbox design? Is it even possible given its filiation to the VESC project?People have been busting Jason’s nuts to make the OG focboxes again for months. What should they do? Wait until EnertionboardUSA saves them? How long will it take? If it is a 5 years plan we will all be riding EUC by then.

The only thing we can loose is money and time, and we have all spent/wasted plenty of both, regardless of the outcome Jeff’s putting in the hard work for us and has been far more open than most manufacturers, that’s worth more anything monetary in a community like ours.
