I took it so hard going up a very steep hill I got the wobbles, couldn’t manage it, chose to bail, was going so fast I couldn’t run it off, totally ate shit.
Yes I had most of my weight in my front foot but that’s not the point. tsg trailfox backbone did its job, i’m pretty fine from the kneepads up, but I got a good gash below the knee and a bad scrape on the ankle.
The denim jeans I was wearing has no scratches or gouges over the wound, and the thick cotton socks I was wearing similarly had no damage. So, I assume Kevlar/aramide jeans wouldn’t really have helped.
Any suggestions for pants or legsuits that can protect against the abrasion that comes from being decelerated from 30 to 0 by a short stretch of tarmac?
Also, wtf ankles. Should I be wearing hiking boots or something?
I pre-ordered the lazy rolling sweat pants with pads. Doubt that will help with street sliding too much though. I have these on my Amazon list I’ve been eyeing.
Anyone have glove recommendations? I love the idea of the Sector9 DD Lightning’s, but they are sold out everywhere (possibly discontinued?). Anyone else have a good glove with impact protection on the wrist that doesn’t require cutting the index finger for remote operation?
Same here. I’ve noticed that EVERY protective jacket I’ve come across has a really short waist line though, crop top style. I love my Amazon one for winter but tuck my shirt in so it doesn’t look weird.
Deal. Which one are you sporting?
I am also worried the fox is going to be hot hot hot in the summer.
The Chinese know off one I have from Amazon may actually be a bit cooler…
Also looking for padded shorts that may be the coolest.
I should level up the look. And just wear the padded shorts over some tightie whities and nothing else…
i’m old enough to be your dad, and all i know about taking tinder pix is from this forum. while i wouldn’t even know if i’m lookin like a grampa, i didn’t think this waist/belt was that high
Sector9 Boxers sold out everywhere too. What is going on with sector9 gloves? are they going out of business? Anyone got a good full finger glove with slidepuck recommendation that is actually in stock and works well for remotes?
