This is another reason it’s not good. Extremely limited ratio options.
In for the updates on these bad boys!
@Kweld_on those wheels are ok, they are a little hard to be super grippy. I used a set all last winter and bought another set. I wouldnt trust them over 40km/h. Funnily enough i started liking them more the less tread they have defeating the purpose for which i got them. They are nowhere near as good on dirt as pnumatic.
Nothing ive tried beats the radium wheels, if the final product is as good or better than the prototypes i was lucky enough to try, then ill persoanlly never buy another street wheel.
Im currently using a set of the 125mm Eovan airless which come in a good second to the race wheels with the airless ones you’ve linked as a solid third favourite for me.
Anyone used the 110 rover cloud wheels ? reviews sounded good im getting a bit keen for a set
which one of these do you like the most? and which one has the best comfort to battery life ratio? If you know what I mean.
Personally for me comfort isn’t really a concern, but I’d say the best balance is the eovan 105mm.
Personally I prefer the Onsra 115mm but they take the biggest range hit. The hollow wheels are the best thane-alikes I’ve ever experienced.
Some additional comfort over a thane wheel would be really nice for when you’re not sure what the road conditions are. I love urethane for what it offers but have been eyeing the Onsra 115mm for shock absorption.
What are the updates on the Radium rubber wheels? Can we expect to see these hit the website anytime soon?
Hes in China working with the manufacturers currently.
He’s back from China but it looks like there is still some work to be done and another iteration is needed at the minimum so it may still be a few months out at best.
They really look worth holding out for.
are these foam core ?
V1 and V3 prototypes are. V2 was solid rubber.
V3 batch should be shipping from the factory this week. Was expecting them last week but there was some delays with the foam molding
Nice, any plans on these being kegal core as well ? They look awesome
Yeah I think they’re Kegel core.
Been riding the rover 110s throughout autumn into winter as the it’s been soggy as f here. Man they’re my top rubber wheels. The comfort level is off the chart and way more efficient than pneumatics. Way better than the 105mm hydros. Cloudwheel nailed it with the 110s.
NOICE I got my self a set and also think they are Awesome. Comfort , dry grip & wet grip .My current Fav
Some 120 rovers would be sick too. Have a Great Day
Spot on with the wet and dry grip level. I was thinking the same thing for a 120mm version but thought I was being too greedy. Let’s hope they release them. And have yourself a fab new year bro. Keep rollin!
Hes keeping them secret to thrash them all at esk8con…
Testing V4 at the moment. This version does not have a foam core so we can get something released sooner. Performance has exceeded our expectations. Super stable and super turny, Video riding them here: https://youtu.be/6FLVv4T46Ns
Just working out how to improve rubber adhesion to the core at the moment. Once that’s solved we’re good to go. Pictures of them on XP4 here: Radium Performance - #829 by Tony_Stark
