TKP. But frustrated by current available choices.

Does anybody know how come SR RKP are sold with 10mm axles only? I know there are stepped axles available and I’m sure this has been covered at some point but why would they limit themselves to the weird 10mm bearings? Is it a MTB truck primarily?

I WILL own a set of these beauties one day however.

I think the thought behind this is axle strength.

I wish they just used 8mm axles made of tougher steel or titanium

I wish they would support us more and actually answer us when we wish to order instead of whenever the flying f€&k they want.

I love their design. It looks fantastic.

That doesn’t always work. Comparing a grade 5 to a grade 12 piece of hardware has pros and cons. The harder a material becomes, the less prone to bending it is. So a high grade bolt may be less prone to deflection, but it will shear rather than bend when nearing maximum load.
That failure type would be bad for a rider at speed.

It’s also very different because on those trucks, riders are more likely to use spacers and widen the wheelbase with longer axles. The more the axle sticks out from the hanger, the more force it is subjected to

So if you want options for longer axles, they should be larger diameter IMO

Dkps are garbage, and not specifically because of performance. I had evolve dkps for awhile and the pivot cups got warped on the rear truck, so there is something about quality as well. That being said, I love both sets of SR RKPS. I have the new TB cnc trucks as well but haven’t ridden them yet. I do want to try tkps one day, but lately I just ride fast

a little curveball just to derail this beautiful thread:
what is your absolute favorite truck (not taking mounting options and esk8 shit into the equation)
my love is with
Ronin & Rogues
deep lean because of the open bushing seat, a good amount of rake and slop reduction through magic.
that paired with a flexy deck and some good urethane. I see why #Whitepony loved that soo much.

Gullwing charger 2s, or Paris V3 savants for downhill, perfect stability at low speeds while staying carvy at high speeds and super easy to break into a slide with.

Super wide DKP Trucks for surfing on land.
