Maybe Jeff lied about knowing Jeremy because he knew all this would happen. Even Jeremy knows that everyone thinks he’s a crook. Terrible decision, yes. It does indeed compromise trust. But besides knowing Jeremy, making some aluminum parts for him and accepting his help, and lying about knowing Jeremy, what are his other crimes? You guys did an excellent job of compiling bullet proof evidence that they were once in the same room and that Jeff ended up with JEDs Facebook pixel likely due to a copy pasta fest resulting from quick and dirty web dev. I’ve done favor development myself and it’s usually not my finest work.
I applaude the due diligence and I sincerely appreciate the effort and I think under the circumstances it was warranted.
But the witch-hunt can end now. They are not the same person. Jeff is not a rebranded JED scam.
Jeff has some making up to do, so let’s allow him to deliver. I’m sure at this point he feels more motivated to do so in order to help clear his name.
I think it’s the slow part they’re hung up on. It took Maytech almost 8 weeks to ship a pair of 220KV 6374s to me that they had already to upgrade an existing customers gear drive Evo. Now I’m wondering if my customer knows I talk to Jeremy. Oh wait, everybody does and it doesn’t matter. I also talked to Jason and Gerry. I’m doomed.
With the FatDaddy dudes trying to resuscitate the dead builders forum and make it a place that is “more friendly to vendors” or however they worded it, I can see a world in which stuff like this drives vendors and therefore users back over there.
Im by no means saying this type of investigation should not happen. I simply think its possible that unscrupulous vendors simply wont play ball with this community when there is somewhere they can go that will not allow users to “vendor bash” (read: pull off the scooby doo mask) like this.
I think the two best chances for builders to take back off is SEO and this.

I have 1 1/4 months or so left with my Paypal insurance and haven’t even gotten my product. What if my neoboxes break within 3 months or so and jeff decides to ghost us. Me (and obviously the others) are down 270+€. Renewing the insurance would kinda help but thats an accounting nightmare. Fuck the PP fees, i would cover them like before.

It’s just that you being so friendly with all the scammers shows you value networking more than integrity, which doesn’t align with your otherwise stellar reputation.
I am not doing business with JED. I did some reviews of Boa wheels. I’ve been in talks with Jeff. I do still talk to Jeremy on occasion. That’s how I know they’re not the same person. All of that is public and it is not a conflict of interest because this is not some agency or service with clauses and obligations it’s a fucking forum.
I will absolutely not stop sharing what I know unless you and everyone else here does as well. This is not a court of law and you guys are not the judge and jury.
I do appreciate the work you guys did. I appreciate you taking the time to call me and bring all this to my attention. I appreciate the extreme effort bill and mike and everyone else put into this discovery. It just didn’t pan out the way you thought it would, but everything is out there now. Now is when people vote with wallets.
How else am I supposed to know what’s going on? Just take one side’s word as fact and stop there? No I think I’ll keep talking to everyone like I always do.
I take money and I deliver. I stand behind my products. That speaks for itself and really it’s all that matters. I’m not out there pushing Jed boards or telling you Jeff didn’t lie.

I’m pointing out that you have a history of speaking positively of JedBoards, even giving them a spotlight with an interview last year. IMO- you even showed up in their defense in this thread. Your first response in this thread said a lot.

For what its worth, I think that if Jeff had come onto the scene like this rather than deflecting and lying, this whole thing would have shook out differently.
And I can’t help but notice that as soon as I stepped in and proved they weren’t sock puppeting each other it became a problem when it hasn’t been for over three years.
