Like programmable lights? And a bell? And less weight? @revel_flo
I have never tried it. Going to have to I suppose. Not until the US border opens up though. The last few things that I ordered from the US to Canada Have been frustrating. One cost me a fortune in tax assesments at the border. The other has been stuck in a local warehouse for weeks. The couriers just donât have enough truck adn driver capacity to clear the backlog. The border taxes are frustrating. The US exchange rate is inflated and the taxes are assessed at the current exchange rate. They also assess taxes on the shipping costs. Those are inflated and are also in US dollars. And then ther are a bunch of brokerage fees.
I think Iâll order a set of waterborne adapters once the US border opens up. Iâll need some advice on what type of deck to use. Rigid like a Tarab? Flexible like a Vanguard? or should I extend the length of A tarib with the waterborne extender bracket? Or perhaps I should do a ski extension for the Tarab.
Thoughts?
two sets of 12 volt wires dangeling from the neck of the the drive would be awesome especially if they were controlled by the remote.
- On/off remote control for a headlight/tail light. Lots of amps for a 2000 lumen headlight
- Push on/release off remote control for a horn. Lots of amps to drive a motorcycle horn.
I think dangling wires would be better than a USB or DC outlet because it would be alot easier to crimp lighting and horn to a wire * connector vs routing to a port/outlet.
I was wondering what wheel options are out there that youâd recommend, 90mm and up? I love the stock wheels but want something more colorful. Hyperwheels? Flywheels?
Love caguamas but Iâm worried about going down to 85mm with the battery/motor getting closer to the ground.
hyperdrive, TorqueBoard Wheels, BOAs.
I think theyâre coming, ask Dexter @ torqueboards
I love orange, too. What I donât love is junk 'thane.
Yeah, sadly those feel like riding on Flintstones wheels.
Get some orange caguamas. Theyâre worlds better than the abec clones you linked above.
Haha thanks. Not hard to tell that Iâm a newb, I just keyed â90mm wheelsâ into amazon and saw âflywheelâ which is a word I heard before
RevelLight lol I like it.
Yeah I mean it has a USB port already so that wouldnât make as much sense. To me it would make sense to have some sort of nice connector like Boosted had for their accessories.
Looked at local online stores and theyâre not a thing here yet. All stores only stock blue/purple. Found one that has them for 16.000 yen, aka $140 USD. Downside of living on an island
I looked into the blue cags but quite a lot of reports over on reddit of them breaking with a bit of uneven-ness. Doesnât look like a safe purchase.
Thoughts on orange compared to the revel stock wheels? I want something with a similar feel to the revel wheels but⌠colored lol (Maybe we just have to spam flo enough to convince them to release some colored standalone wheels with the same material)
Personally coming from a boosted/exway, I think 90mm is already pretty big, so donât want to go up to 95mm/100mm/105mm
Donât think the idea of using that USB port for future accessories is bad. Besides charging the remote or pretending that itâs a power bank when flying, there currently isnât much point to that port at all.
The manual also hinted at an app thatâs âcoming soonâ, so remotely controlling that port isnât so far fetched
Yeah thatâs true, it makes it easy to charge the remote, especially if it dies while youâre out and about. It saves them having to send a power brick with the remote too haha. I think USB port for accessories isnât robust enough, USB plugged in isnât meant to take the kind of vibrations and stuff, maybe connectors like the boosted ones would be more durable.
Yeah controlling with the app would be super cool, it would require more electronics implementation. Maybe another button on the remote as like a multi-function button.
Agreed. I was not saying to get rid of the USB. But USB is too fragile and does not have enough amps for lighting.
I checked out the boosted accessory connectors. I like the loose wire approach. But the connector takes up alot of space and itâs proprietary. I think some loose wires capped waterproof shrink wrap would be fine. Most of us know how to strip a wire, solder and shrinkwrap. Alternatively a small xt connetor with an inch or two of slack wire would acomplish the same task. Woud just need a rubber cap for hte Xt connector for the not in use condition.
hi friends, would you like to laugh about me?
after all we talked in this forum about installing a waterborne to a revel, I tryed place an order just to notice that now they dont ship to my country! but just a few days ago they didt! I wrote to revel and they answered this:
"we know itâs a bummer but we have temporarily stopped international shipping due to high shipping costs and constant delays with carriers. Weâre definitely looking to re-activate it as soon as things get better, hopefully in the next few months! "
Iâm so sorry to hear that ⌠When did you reach out to them and ask? Did they say anything else about the shipping situation?
I wrote them yesterday and they responded just today, and what i quoted is all they said
