Uhhh… No. Don’t quote me but I don’t even think once hardened using acetone on the epoxy near the small surface area that is the magnet side face bond is a good idea… I don’t get my magnets dirty, but if you do, 90%+ isopropyl alcohol is probably the best way to clean. Ceramic kitchen knife or stainless steel brush.
This is the good stuff. Even it takes a bit of strength away from the final cure though. It’s really only a timesaver if you’re trying to do a lot of cans, and somewhat necessary to pot stators.
If you’re only doing personal cans… I’d recommend using straight epoxy w/no filler for those gaps.
I’d love to have more data though. If anybody wants to send me broken cans to harden and drop progressively higher from my roof to my concrete driveway I’ll gladly do it fo free… Test all the methods we want
Yeah, they are all reclaimed cells that I made into a 12s 9p pack. I’m doing the initial balance now, some were still a higher voltage from test cycling.
