yeah, very hard for me to withstand, but i got so many decks not electrified that buying this one right now would be the wrong turn for me atm.
All I need most atm is a reliable, well build remote which i can use on my esc that has 6 pin connector for the reciever.
Do you know any that fulfills my described needs, bro?

Sorry but all I have been using is the mini remote. I have a midnight puck that I got for Christmas and I cannot wait to try once I fix my board. never really paid attention to the connectors sorry.

same here, bc never felt the need to change the remote on my budget board before, but now I will search for information. Pretty sure it cant be that hard to find the right thing for me :grinning:
And its fun anyways :hugs:
Edit: This Osrr will be surly out of stock until end of the summer in 2056 after release and as i know my luck, it surly will have another connector than i need :joy: :joy: :joy:

Mr Robot said he is taking some time off on top of the shelter in place situation to focus on esk8 projects so we can be more optimistic regarding the release date… Maybe?

You could still try to look into the puck while he finalizes it, from what i see, resale value isn’t so bad with the Hoyt puck.

I was NOT talking about the release date, bc that will be this summer, i was talking about that they surly will be sold out until the year 2056.
That was my impression while reading the thread a while ago.

Oh gotcha, probably right… hopefully it won’t be a one off release even if I am not sure if this will be in my price range anyways.

How much would YOU spend for a remote?
Where is your personal limit?

I was ready to get the midnight puck but Santa acknowledged my good behavior last year before I could buy it. So I guess 120$ with the receiver + maybe 25$ shipping, over that and I don’t think I would consider it. I will definitely drool over higher end options but won’t buy tho.

Anyways a good amount of dollars for a remote.

my threshold is about $250USD but its gotta be good. i love my hoyt puck and will also be grabbing an OSRR variant as soon as they are GA. @City-Blade-101 what do you have in the works?

What qualifies as good for you ? Bulletproof and Reliable(no signal loss) or lots of features (telemetry, and other stuff I don’t know about)?

I haven’t really given any thoughts on features for a remote other than throttle but maybe once I try more advanced remotes I would understand what I never knew I needed .

I do think so too.

Well, the puck is very nice remote, but totally not perfect for my presonal preference how i want a remote. Them 2 osrr models looking simply perfect for me :joy:

just simply want another trigger remote on my cheap chinese esc where the reciever is welded on in a 6pin connection.

i’ve used a Nano, VX1, and Hoyt Puck. The first two stopped working or had issue that made me lose confidence in them. I picked up a Puck and havent’ looked back. i really like the form factor and have used it as a slide puck twice and it has no issues. the connection is quite robust however i have not been in areas where i would expect it to drop.

so understanding the above my requirements are: reliability, form factor, ease of use. i’d like some telemetry however i dont know how much i’d use it in practice. Personally i am of the mind that knowing your gear is more important than having the ā€œbestā€ gear.

not sure if i would regularly use an accessory button if it was available but would definitely waste time programming and playing with it.

How do you like your Pucking remote?

Feels great in the hand, it haven’t had the chance to use it… long story short, we are just ending the rainy season so wasn’t able to ride. Also, I took my board apart to fix my battery and decided to make new enclosure so I threw the other away before I finished the new one (i do stupid shit like that). So I haven’t made the enclosure and my board is still in pieces.

i feel ya on the rainy season, its raining every other day, not all day but seems like everytime i have time it is.

whats the plan for the enclosure? fiberglass/kydex/CF/black pearl…?

Just build an enclosure from wood and some steel wedges. I got that in my mind for pretty long. To be honest i dont like them plastic enclosures anyways.
