Oh you’re talking about the green one :joy: it looks as if it has been water damaged. If that’s the case, the deck is probably fucked in which case I would just throw it in the bin. Or turn it into a shelf. If it’s half reasonable tho I might just tidy it up a bit and give it to my daughter.

I just realised that green one is also an MBS board… so yes I will be buying that one too :joy:

This is where it all started.

Red one is 100aud, green is 20aud.

Will very likely give the green one to my daughter. Pretty sure the red one will just hang around for good looks :joy: will be good to have a spare mtb roller for mates to use :+1:

Man I’ve always loved the shape of these. I had one similar to this as a kid and had a stupid amount of fun on it. Definitely get it for your daughter. What a steal!

Thank you!
I had some issues with the spar u pooling in the lower areas of the board (it has strong progressive concave).
I wonder if that might not be the case with epoxy?

It definitely still happens with epoxy. There are two options that I could think of to counteract it…

  1. Hang the board vertically while the epoxy sets… this may lead to a bit of dripping at the bottom, but if you got to it while the epoxy wasn’t fully cured, you could trim it up with a knife pretty easily… it might also cause the frit to run/ fall off :man_shrugging: gotta try it to find out…

  2. Thicken the epoxy with glass spheres/fused silica/milled fibres… i’ve only thickened with milled fibres before and it seems to yellow the epoxy a little bit… need to try with the others as well.

Maybe do thin layers and let them almost dry to apply each time? Also apply the product and let the board dry in a vertical position? I used epoxy on mine, preety tough, not trouble at all…

I have still had issues with pooling even with the thinnest layer of epoxy I could do.
