Good Lord, Iāve never had a dangerous equipment failure worse than a poorly timed belt breaking or ABS over current fault.
Justin is right though
I think we both needed a heavy-handed reminder that the conditions of a ride shouldnāt dictate the amount of gear worn.
I have a tendency to undergear at the beginning of a ride planning to go easy and then change my mind about going easy.
Tawnee just has a tendency to be a bit resistant to gear in general but these crashes have been instrumental in at least convincing them to commute with a full face and real (moto grade) knee pads as a minimum.
Dude! This was all within 3 weeks of carve SEA, my shoulder is healing up pretty well in the first few days so my hopes are still up about being able to participate but Iām definitely not doing the planned 20-50ish miles each day. Unlucky.
As nice as they look. As is the rods donāt have a rideable amount of clearance on the front. They would need to face upwards for the front truck.
Rear rod clearance not great either but on absolutely perfect roads maybe doable facing downwards. Small motors would allow them facing upwards which would be better
The trucks were setup like this just to try the angles out rolling around a bit before itās electric. Itās gonna have pneumatics eventually, not gonna stay like this.
