Wait… the batteries are in the hanger? Weird. What is it a 4s1p??

From Sofu’s article it said that it switches between 2s2p and 4s1p, very interesting.

From the product page it seems to have cruise control, which interests me. Wonder if you could successfully hook up a larger battery to it.

the esc switches from 2s to 4s under different load and the cells are welded to the pcb iirc, it could be the single most expensive esk8 mod to do if anyone attempt it :joy:

the battery is “replaceable”, but i doubt anyone have tried it yet

You replace the battery by replacing the hangar

no

I mean in terms of working with your space constraints this is great work but I feel like they gave themselves a really hard job that doesn’t seem worthwhile. Just make a better esc, contained in the truck, and let people slap a 10s on it at least.

they are germans, they like to over engineer stuff :joy:

Yeah that’s fair.

They are in Germany, and they created the absolute best esk8 ever created in the “stealth” category.

You could probably hand it to a cop and let them inspect it and kickpush it around and they’d have no idea it was electric.

Optimizing every engineering decision to maximize “stealth” at the cost of, well, everything else, this is what you end up with.

It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind design.

See that makes a lot more sense. If they’re smart they’ll come out with an integrated deck that connects a large, internal battery, with the actual connection hidden in the baseplate. Pouch batteries would obviously be ideal for stealth.

These are designed to just “be trucks” that you can bolt on any deck, even a clear deck.

probably the only giveaway will be the sound from the motors rolling.

Idk about Germany, but here, that falls under plausible deniability I think. Like if I got caught with a sword cane, it’s technically illegal, but I could just pull the old “HOLY SHIT THERES A SWORD IN THERE?!”

Holy crap, there’s a gun in that paper bag? I had no idea

That won’t fly, but you could probably get away with a pen gun.
