Yeah those are really sticky wheels, its more about shifting your weight though. If you just hit a corner at speed and you do loose traction you will catch and edge and faceplant.

It’s an old Kayaking or water sports helmet of some kind. I liked it because it had the soft foam and medium hardness foam, not the one time use hard foam stuff, but pliable foam. When I hit it hard enough eventually the shell finally cracked and I sadly had to retire it to the shelf in favor of better protection. I don’t know if it had any legitimate rating honestly, definitely not meant for skating but it saved me more than once at least… rode with it for almost 20 years, up to last year.

To follow-up on this:

Took them out for a proper ride tonight.

I’m in love. They’re so comfy I don’t even care what they’re bound to do to my gas mileage.

I am curious to see how these tires soften. I already want those Kenda slicks.

Got rid of squeaks with dyelectic grease yesterday, mostly silicone iirc so should be ok hope springs eternal
