Holy chunking batman how do you even core those wheels like that? It’s not like you can really slide and lay down thane on a luge, so where does it go?

It’s 99% a Zenit Marble.

OMG :open_mouth: those are the most-chunked ABEC11 wheels I’ve ever laid eyes upon

Do they old well on 12s ?

I have no idea i’m just interested because I want hub motors and me and @xsynatic @frame have been discussing if these are right for us I’ll let them put their two cents in :call_me_hand:

They completely exploded while testing the luge on the bed of their truck

I think they spun up to 80mph and exploded, they said that it looked like there was no bonding between the core and the outside, but that they normally use these abec wheels no problem. This was the first set that did that

Can’t tell you. All boards apart from the MTB only have a 10s battery.

only tried them on 10s, but i bet them can do 12s, just not sure about the amps.

the only thing i know is, 10s 40amps, 4km flat road (only little slope), 30~45kmph speed…when i stopped, its a bit toasty

40amp each ? I thought hub were more in the 20a range

I meant the dual makerX 4

the thing is, i’ve set it as 40motor amps, but since i didn’t have metr at that time, i don’t know how much amps were the hubs taking :man_shrugging:t2: but they are toasty after a 4km flat road run, that’s for sure

Speaking of toasty. I just came back from grocery shopping and did a aggressive ride with maxing out the throttle often.

13°c outside (55° fub)

Now that the hubs had enough time to transfer heat all around the hub they’re warm. So my guess is that you’ll have to lower the amps in summer.

(interesting parts begin at 21:14~)

On my summer vacation 2019 in the Netherlands i used my hubs (then with 90mm wowgo hubs and old wowgo 2s hobbywing esc which was 24A i think) so hard that i wasn’t able to touch the hubs for longer than 5 seconds. Going by that and the fact that i use up to 45Amps and have 100mm sleeves on the meepo hubs, they will get HOT in summer.

i don’t remember what’s the weather temp when i did mine, but it was early june last year 10am-ish in the morning, im gonna guess is somewhere around 25 or 27°C, full on headwinds as well

Actually only 18A, but they still get really toasty :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
