God damn it these motors are gonna come to me smelling like weed and Doritos arenāt they?
Thatās cutting torch smoke. Pulleys were really on there
Lmao I appreciate your service good sir
Holy crap
@XBoard Why donāt you go ahead and make a thread in the Vendor Corner section of the forum and we can start grilling you with questions lol
Yeah I would like to see the guts on this thingā¦and I wonder what esc yall using to handle 360 amps
Yeah ā any pictures of the insides?
$4,100 though
The page said X-ESC, so not sure.
Designed in USA though and the webpage is put together pretty well, no spelling mistakes or grammar issues.
Seems pretty enticing, but at Lacroix prices, they will be held to a pretty high standard
14s8p battery though for 1638wh, must be nice cells
Yeah 4100 for a belt driveā¦uuuuuh
yeah just tried opening a thread about it and paged @XBoard
seems like this thing has potential if you diregard the price a bit
Are you using that buck converter to step down battery voltage?
Yup!
Whereād ya get it from? Iāve had some bad experiences with fakes, usually ending with the ICās exploding.
I can try to identify it if you send a close up pic.
I got it from my first pre-built board like almost a year ago, just had it in a drawer haha. Itās probably trash, but it works for right now. I have a better one from Lacroix if I need to use it, itās just kind of bulky and I donāt have much room in this enclosure after fitting everything.
I wanna see the size of a 360a discharge bms
I just get scared every time I see one and get flash backs to when my 3 exploded right in front of meā¦
For future reference to anyone:
LM2596HVS buck converter
99% of the time ones that look like this and have less than 63v caps on the output side are fake
These ones are real and are usually 4x as much as the fakes:
They have 63v caps on each side, a enable switch, and an LED
If it worked for as long as it did, you are probably fine. But Iāve also had some that worked on 10s and blew instantly at 12s so it depends.
