Iām in Colorado bruh
Pretty good looking pack, nice job.
Is that 25 or 30mm nickel?
Lol, didnt get pumps, saved 30$. Gonna mix by weight and use large syringe for transfer.
Gonna be fun learning in the shop when rest of materials come in.
@Halbj613 Youāre faster with a with a file. Just deburr the edges and wipe each edge on both sides only once and youāre done.
long past that stage but good info for next time
building a battery is way more work then i expected
probably put 10 hours+ into it now
Holy fuck how big is it? 30s400p?
I can take that long, I will often take a whole weekend to build or rebuild a battery, I Ballance test my P groups before final assembly. Anyone who tells you itās cheaper to build yourself is on drugs especially if you value your time.next time I will send my cells to @TinnieSinker to build. It will be better built and my wife wonāt break my balls for being in the shed all weekend.
Iām just fucking with you. I know a good pack takes time. Thatās why I use makita batteries.
cutting nickel + rounding
welding
fishpaper
soldering
balance leads
making sure evrything is good
protecting pack
I tig torch all my packs. Use foil to connect p-packs. And use a small food scale for balance.
15 minutes and done
Fucking send it. I aināt got time for perfect.
Last time I used the derelict robot battery PCB and that was my quickest build ever around 4 hours. My cost was around $500USD for a 12S4P pack. I spent a shit ton on 50mm 0.2 Nickel (1kg) before realising I could have bought it from Andrew pre cut for the pcb for a just few bucks. ::facepalm::
thank you, its 30mm x 0.2mm and i welded at 35-45J
Me and @Linny will be building a pair of these @DRI PCB batteries out before summer. Weāll be holding hands the whole time.
If you need to offload some of that nickelā¦
Itās so easy if I had bought the precut nickel it would have only taken an hour. No balance wires itās built into the pcb.
