Kinda like waaat? Super fluke occurrence because I have so many of his drives and never had anything like this happenā¦
Again good thing I had 3 other motors didnāt even feel like anything was wrong.

Think thatās the worst part.
Wow I totally forgot to reply ⦠my bad. I have the old school ones on most of my setups⦠wonder if the new version rides any different
Hahahahah yeaaa . Made things probably a lot worse. I was too
Busy trying to race cars with three motors
We all
Honestly thought the motor keyway Came undone somehow. ⦠didnāt think it was the hub
Itās okay I have backup drives
Just casually flexing with shiny bois.
I think you might have not fixed the wheel to the adapter using the bolts at all. The bolts are 20mm long. If they were coming out one by one you wouldnāt have the mounting holes anymore. In this case you have perfect holes and smooth finish. I got to give it to you, itās a first I see somebody who managed this.
beautiful.
Sigh⦠guess I need to double check my wheel is attached properly from
Now on
First time for everything
Ty, Iāll get one of the original/old one
@ahrav probably the same geometry just different look
Sweet build! But I gotta ask: donāt you think the Sportster deck is thin enough to mount the direct drives in drop-through? Itās gotta be close, right?
iāve seen people with drop through setup but they all had to route the deck a few mm to clear the cans.
I think if i keep the rear stiff enough iād be fine.
You take way better pictures than I do
So dudes.
Are you able to switch between thumb wheel and trigger without killing yourself?
this
Only after 20minutes of stress
No problem at all, more so if on thumb rolling forward is accelerate and rolling back is brake, while on trigger pulling back is accelerate and pushing forward is brake (so essentially the pot is rotating the same direction for the same result).
If you switch from thumb to trigger (or trigger to thumb) control, and you get used to it over the course of a few minutes and are riding along and BAM a car pulls out in front of you, donāt you accidentally hit the wrong control by instinct occasionally?
I know I do.
Itās why I stopped switching controls very much. When youāre using your brain, everything is fine, but when you have a sudden instantaneous instinctual response often itās reversed, which exacerbates the problems happening at that moment. You see the car and brace for slow down right as you smash the brakes ⦠but then the skate starts accelerating hard ⦠and all in a fraction of a second.
You could technically invert the pot?
Nope, maybe because on both thumb and trigger remotes I instinctively put force through both throttle fingers in said directions.
