Yeah motors seem to be ok. Just axles bent i think. The mounts are still ok from what I can tell. They seem a little out of alignment but i think that’s just the hanger.
I’ll take them off and chuck them on another hanger and see if they’re good. :crossed_fingers:

Hey on those superstars do you have any pictures without the tire I want to see how you did it
I think I did mine wrong

I see you put the star plates inside instead of outside?

Yeah you need to put the star pieces on the inside of the outer rim, or else the spacer won’t fit. Refer to this pic for correct layers.

Also you need to have the recess of the star piece where the spacer sits on the inside.

Its pretty new so not yet. From their instructional video it does look pretty challenging.

ahem

I might have a Esk8 mounted path cleaner planned.

We were thinking of a push broom head mounted to our bull bars

I am thinking about a full on rotating drum brush, much like a Vacuum possibly with a collection system as well. Could be extremely dangerous if done improperly. Kinda not sure how wide it would be but doing a wide bike path in two passes would be dope.

Psh why bother collecting? Scatter that shit to the side like a snow blower and be done with it.

Dang so how do those planetary gear drives actually perform? I’ve been so curious

@ixf has the most hands on experience AFAIK. He took apart an ecomobl drive the other week.

The torque was pretty impressive if I’m being honest but the braking was wayyyy louder than the accel for some reason. I thought the dude was going to crash in to me every time we slowed down.

I want it

To be completely accurate I did NOT take apart an ecomobl drive. I did take apart an ET2 and slap the drives and trucks on an MBS :stuck_out_tongue:

Been riding it around for a week or 2 now in the current setup.
How it rides? Honostly it feels like a straightcut setup. Good free roll. Its smooth even when changing direction. 170kv, 1/4 reduction, 8 inch tires = good torque but thats the motor and ratio. The design of the drive doesn’t magically give you more torque :stuck_out_tongue: Its also wicked loud… 5 metal gears meshing.

Biggest attraction is ease of setup and price.
650 gives you everything

  • Front back hangers
  • Pair of 6374 motors @ 170kv (unsensored)
  • Pair of metal planatery drives
  • Set of metal hubs + Solid tire wheels.

NO BASEPLATE and BUSHING

I have these running on hifi on unity and they been doing well.

Leaf blower can annoy people/blow rocks into cars on accident and maybe not permitted to use but I would consider an attachment with one of those instead of making an expensive and innefective diy streetcleaner.

This would be the ideal incarnation of course.
