My uncle calls me that, now I feel funny
I just got a phone call from Chris Hanson. I’m out.
Start a thread and tag Sean Hacker, Derelict Robot and Kellag in.
So it’s totally down now? Officially?
Really!? I think the deck is a piece of shit. Took mine of and gave it away at the first opportunity.
You need a stiff deck for speed. You got wobbling on a flex deck. Grip is durable even in wet weather. Feet are locked. I don’t know what you dont like about it but I have 3 longboards (stiff for downhill and flex for dancing) and I think the deck is adapted to the board. Yes I would not like the raptor deck on another board don’t get me wrong
I put a Bustin EQ36 on my Craptor. It’s worlds above the original deck.
I understand the need for a stiff deck on a board built for speed, but I’ve ridden a lot of decks and the original raptor deck really didn’t do it for me. Everything about it just lacked.
Edit: just about what you said about the deck being well adapted to the raptor
kicktail with the torque that gets put out on fast mode?

if I had a dollar for everytime I fell off the back after a few beers… I could buy one more beer. Cos I swapped that deck out quicker than I would drink that beer.
Even with what you said it would not make the raptor anywhere near the best board on the market.
Yeah but don’t put your foot on the kicktail while accelerating
anyway it’s just preferences and yeah it’s not perfect but it’s not that bad.
And Well if you’ve put a Bustin, I can’t say anything!
Speaking of the best board on the market, is there a thread for that?
either way. I hate the raptor deck.
But I do love Bustin decks.
I don’t think so. But I would assume most would think the kaly or lacroix decks are on top.
Preference.
I fell 3 times on the same wrist due to speedwobble. Then I saw a video explaining that you have to let go of the fear and tension. Now I stand on my board like I don’t give a fudge, trucks real loose, speedwobble gone. The mindflip is real
Well I dont think I never did have so mutch fun as the first 5 mounth that I did with my raptor 2, so many great memorys:
It sucked to need to change wheels all the time. But I did enoy the board probebly more then I ever did with something before.
But after 5 month bms/battery started to fail so it did power off random when I was 50‰ or lower…
Then this happend when I rided in 25mph, not so fun anymore with this board:
Yeah. Lean forward when speed wobble occurs. Not very intuitive at first I learned the hard way too on my bustin maestro
If I understand correctly, @RobNO and I have a ‘charge only’ bms. Even though mine is different. The fuse on the side is just not integrated in the bms.
Please anyone do correct me if I’m wrong. We need a full blown wiki
I’m really not a pro in this. I hate electronics.
What controller do you have? I guess CH- and CH+ are for the charger. Switch input are logic signals so that the BMS knows if you’ve plugged the charger and it has to switch to charging state. Unity goes to your controller (do you have a focbox unity? I don’t know if it can switch while ridding to use regenerative braking…?) NTC is for monitoring the battery temperature and on the right you have all the cells potentials
I wasn’t being clear, that thing is already dead, I was just surprised that we both have a different one, in the same board. I’m trying to get my head around the different types of bms’s. Internet can has too many infowz
