These are awesome in case anyone is wondering. I can feel the punch difference in them. They feel real strong!

Bummer ! I’ve probably been kind of a noob but still i want to share this and warn other people about the mistake i made… So i ordered some CNC version MBS 3 trucks from the UK, the 30mm hanger version with the 50mm axles (50mm = standard i believe). Started mounting this evening and “oh no” ! They don’t fit !!:grimacing: The screws/heads of the wheelpulley hit the hanger.

If i had paid more attention to the technical drawing of the wheels-with 45T pulley on the website of Radium Performance i would have known you need 1cm clearance😢

***EDIT!! : *** sorry i’m not correct on this. It does’nt mention this 1cm clearance on the website ; it only mentions the 16mm of the pulley exceeding inwards :face_with_monocle: Nothing on the clearance-situation of the bolt-heads hitting the hanger. So yeah, total bummer

So people! Be smart, unlike me, and buy the 70mm axle version (if you want the MBS 3 trucks !!) when buying these sexy wheels :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :confounded: :sob:

And, nope… washer on the axle is not possible, still not enough clearance. The nut on the axle is also part of the equation here. Not enough winds to hold when using thick/multiple washers.

The only thing that may (do!) work is these screws in the picture. I have tried these and without the secure-washer/rings from radium they function 100%. Just enough clearance because of the much smaller/less thick head !

@Tony_Stark When i buy these screws shown in the pic in titanium quality and put some friendly 243 Loctite on these ; will it be allright you think ?? Or should i go ahead and buy the MBS 70mm axles ($$$$) because maybe you don’t trust the “hold” without your washers on the screws ?

Many thanks :call_me_hand:t2:

I’d just take a hand file or a dremel and sand down the hanger by 1mm at each corner. It looks like hardly any material you need to remove to make the bolts clear.

Ahh man that’s frustrating. We tested them on the original matrix 3 trucks but of course things are always changing.

I think filing the trucks and touching up with paint pen is a good solution.

Using Loctite and the button head screws you’ve shown should also work just fine.

 it is very little material, you may be right. It just sucks balls “dremel”-ing /machining down something brand new fresh out of the box :face_holding_back_tears:

Let me get over it… the short moment of unpacking-joy is already fading and reality is hitting me while i’m having my morning coffee

As in “Dremel Evan” ?

Wow i was’nt expecting (all) the opinions going towards grinding down the trucks! :flushed:

The retainer rings ; i was wondering if it was your experience through testing/riding the Mach One that maybe through time the pulleys came loose through vibrations etc , without these rings?

My buttonhead screw solution will only work without these rings you see …

The grinding option perhaps then being the nastiest/ugly/scary but best solution …(?)

Grinding trucks is a rite of esk8 passage

Hold on; hell yeah!! Grinding trucks on curbs and copings back in the ol’ days was just a different kind of “grind”, but yeah :+1:t2:

I’m just now waking up and suddenly, because of what you said + these memories, i’m having less problems getting out the grinder :call_me_hand:t2: :sunglasses:hahah!!
