It will not be at this point in time. The Radium app was developed to talk directly to the RTS system.
So the new Radium S won’t have the RTS system?
It won’t as it only works with Vesc based ESC’s for the moment. We will need to develop a custom ESC with JK to regain independent motor control.
Is this on the cards as a drop-in replaceable upgrade?
The mounting points and cable passageway are all still there. The new internals are pretty easy to upgrade in general. I don’t want to promise anything just yet but all I’m saying is it’s a very upgradeable platform, unlike the original Mach One which was very much built around it’s complex 12S electrical system.
Straight from the horse’s mouth!!! If it’s good enough for the mandarin mussolini, its good enough for me!
Glad to see more production models moving away from VESC-based ESCs. With the price as high as these premium boutique boards are should really stop further thinning the herd by adding the knowledge required to utilise a VESC properly into the mix. Unfortunate about the RTS system, was hoping to try that out.
Btw, if this is a JK designed remote
How is it supposed to work with Hobbywing? Or is the ESC also JK
I believe it will now be easy to find gear drivers on the market who will work on the new Model S, especially since the Kegel wheels now make that easier.
C’mon @Tony_Stark care more about insta than us… jk lol
so new board is rocking JK esc with the linn/JK remote. 18s4p battery and new Modors. Any glimpses into phase or battery amps?
I wanna try those motors out. Hey @Tony_Stark I’m working on a dyno fyi ![]()
Not likely. The rear of the board is very compact. You would need wider trucks and a system with several gears in a row to give enough clearance between motors and swing arm.
Sorry mate I’m trying not to disturb the peace on here ![]()
Yeah JK 18S ESC. 80A so 6000W total, down from the 8000W of the 12S Mach One.
We’ve also allowed space for a bigger ESC that can do significantly more power but we need to do more testing on that one.
Haven’t you been working on one for like years?
What kv would you be after out of curiosity. May have a spare prototype set but no promises.
~160 for a 20s setup
I registered for the S notification and realized the S link was sent the same day, I missed this and was searching for the SR125 tracking number. The board looks great, I wish I could budget for it.
JK, for those who doesn’t know, although rides similarly to Hobbywing, because the founder originally worked on hobbywing ESCs, is not affiliated with hobbywing.
Calling this a “Hobbywing Mach One” is therefore misleading a bit.
Some people might have associated HW with “bad quality/weak power” so you might wanna change that @Tony_Stark
Please tell us more about the CNC wheel nuts ![]()
That’s a sharp looking board!
As a competitor, to radiums wheels, I appreciate you not making a backhanded compliment and setting a good example
