Was tempted to buy an mlr but don’t want to be disappointed with the power output (I already have a kaly xlr) so Thinking of building a three link (isn’t everyone). Yes I will be using my 3d printed rims on it to save weight (3 years street carving on a set using 12s and Spintend power. Haters shut up. Any suggestions on motors, Esc, battery welcome.
Dang I was hooked by the title, that didn’t last long lmao
Didn’t even get to see what it was
aight i’m back
1: anything and everything can beat an xlr in acceleration
2: “save weight” nah nothing is beating the hubba hubs in this day and age. cope
3: eat my shorts
I was hoping to read a juicy thread after my work but nvm
Doesn’t this already exist
Aint this the 3d printed wheel dude?
Yeah.
Not all 3dp wheels are the same tho. MJF nylon works well
Yeah but that’s never what people mean when they say something is “3d printed” lol. They always mean FDM, usually on a hobby grade printer with whatever the cheapest filament is.
New trucks are interesting do you have ideas for making 3 links different to the newbeeesk8, stooge or MAD ones?
An idea that’s not $1300 3d printed ones?
fwiw @Titoxd1000 rode around on big 3d printed wheels for a while, many months (maybe a year??) they didn’t break. I was amazed. it was so he could try the big tires. (eventually he cnc’d his wheels ). I also still don’t think it;s the best idea.
Yup fdm. Petg
Oh I can see the post now.
Just use dualities they are better trucks imo. Save the R&D time and money for other aspects of the build.
I’ll prob go for stooge but I wouldn’t mind some like 17” wide bad boys. Where’s that more chap??
It really doesn’t. Try putting water on a nylon print
Do you heat your print chamber or anneal your prints afterwards to make the print more isotropic?
I’ve been running MJF nylon hubs for over a year now, definitely got them plenty wet. Haven’t had any issues. Water and nylon seems to be an issue on fdm if water gets in before printing.
They are a truck made by @Titoxd1000
What are dualities pls?
220g a rim.
None of my other boards can keep up with an xlr. I don’t think evolve even make a single board that can. Same for many other brands. Verreal… etc etc
