It’s the motivation again. After 1 1/2 months not riding i finally jumped on the mtb again only for it to break after 4 rides (the neobox dilemma). Haven’t stepped on any board since it happened 8 days ago.

i technically could make it run again in 30 minutes. I just need to cram my 4.12 vescs back in the enclosure again and do detection.
+i still have my maintenance free hub board. So it’s not like i have nothing to ride.

Just for clarity Jedboxes is code for neoboxes that jeff actually got out to people right? or was there also a jedboards vesc that got out in the world back in the day?

My board powered down and it’s not coming back on.
Heat is really a big bummer, thankfully I got some heatsinks @abusfullofnuns the ones you recommended, i think it was you lol, they seem like they will work

Woke up the neighborhood with a quick hooligan lap.
Realized I had the remote on a slower curve for the past few weeks. Celebrated with a hot lap and personal speed records. Leaving in metric because it makes the dick feel bigger.

Had some more zoomies this morning before it hit triple digits. I’m a big fan of this board man.

Had a short jaunt with my room mate on his bike. Pretty slow ~1.5 mile journey through downtown housing and college campus. Nice cool weather on a night of empty streets. We might have had one or two before we hit the road. All flashy lights equipped.
Along some not so great roads the Venom wheels chundled along happily, Albeit at bicycle speed. Should have brought the gopro.

Cut the ride a bit short because one magnet got loose, but was an awesome ride, managed to ride in a pitch black forest and the light works really well, and ended with an amazing yellow moon that looks like crap in the picture as always

For sure, definitely you can ride in pitch black, and the low mounting isn’t a issue, I would even say that is better since each hole or bump get a long shadow and you can see easily

seem super bright and seem to throw out some serious light…
something we’ve found out switching to high-ouput LEDs on our race bikes, is the kelvin temperature is a bit too high, we shield half of our lights with an amber lens that lowers the super bright white to something more natural, the bright light tended to wash out the terrain regardless of the diffusers we used…

Nice, I don’t know what color temperature those is, but definitely isn’t those super cool, the color reproduction is really good
I was actually thinking is designing some lenses for them, because a fair bit of light gets wasted in the sky, but after digging a bit it isn’t easy, and probably won’t be possible to just replace it, you have to have a reflector setup to be able to focus the light
Really interesting topic, quite a bit of information around, also the standards for car lights are a good starting point
