These thangs were very abused from the guys that had them before… they were using hairspray as a bed adhesion agent

Yeah this is fairly standard practice for older 3d printers, especially ones with glass beds. It’s double duty, adhesion agent for slick surfaces but also a release agent to make sure it doesnt fuse with certain materials.

Hit 5000 miles on the Ownboard Zeus this month. Turned into a fun carve/ slider board. Been experimenting with wheels and bushings.
Strangest / funnest setup I’ve landed on.
Duality front (SR125)
OMNI TKP rear (madmax 125)
Variety of APS bushings
Gives very planted feeling having SR125 up front. I struggle keeping front urethane from sliding on hard carve so rubber up front is massive help.
When I get my diy (street beast) running I’ll be turning Zeus into diy. Will go new 13s battery, duality all around, esc, 6455 motors, vx4 remote. It’s always thrown overcurrent if I throttle too hard from standstill.
This week I fully dove into learning about the world of belts, will be upgrading to Omega HP with the conversion. I’m tired of how much the standard HTD belts stretch. Anyone ran Omega HP belts yet?
