I think you’d want to be around the 110-150kv mark at a starting point.
In NZ, it’s easiest for me to buy from China suppliers I find but Aussies just across the ditch and Radium would do you some good motors, provide excellent warranty and support, plus advise you well.
On a budget, I’d order some Flipskys on sale but if I wanted to go all out I’d buy some reachers from radium. If you’re in the states I think you have lots of local options. SKP motors and vescs I think are also reacher.
I bought something from TB like 2 months ago and it shipped and arrived and is fine, but it did take about a week for the tracking number to start moving once I got the information.
If you are able to keep things separate it’s good but you could just have a big pile on one side, take pictures and upload to forum, and put it in a different pile. Once stuff starts selling there’s less to sort.
For storing parts it would take a lot more space if you keep different things separate, so I have a shelf for large things that look nice like motor stators and cnc trucks, a spot in a cupboard for stuff I need often like chargers, remotes, tires and a big plastic tub for everything else (which I unfortunately have to completely empty regularly)
It’s a data logger called the robogotchi by DerelictRobot. He doesn’t make Esk8 stuff anymore but it still works great. Logs your rides for you and tells you fun info like this
Allan Pan! I’m not falling for this clickbait. It either runs for only 2 minutes or your battery pack is going be a metric chonk. Regardless it is going to be unstable af.
I’ve seen your videos before inventor man. This is as feasible as your laser lawnmower.
Do not make me think about this project as a potential entry for BOT 2030, not even 2035.
I’m super happy every time we install these systems, I veameatly deny fishing with them by dipping them in the river at lunch.
They are a simple solution to a serious issue. While these are stainless steel and 12,000$ each, the principle translates well to developing countries. I get satisfaction out of being a small part of positive change
