Attack of Danger Bay is in less than a week, who am I all gonna see there??
@rafaelinmissouri new Lems!! First impressions good, will see how i go wearing them alllll day. Stupid work.
Just need to get some of their outlanders now, just waiting on them to restock in my size
Best skate shoes, slip ons really let ya use ya grippers
I pedal a lot. (This is an ebike.)
Ahh I see now it’s also a recumbent, super efficient
Hole filling update!
Looks like I’m off work for another five weeks, but fortunately our public systems subsidise 80% income of lost income which is more than enough to stay at home behind a cheap second hand laptop.
FreeCAD is a right bitch to learn. This BN270 isn’t quite right, but I’m hoping it’s sufficient for a first attempt. Once the garage is built, perhaps a small, maybe DIYish CNC for making Esk8 parts.
The sun is bright off the water today, the upside is my Apple face recognition still works like this . Most of us gave up on sunscreen years ago: now we are like vampires
I’m sure the whole vampires thing sounds overly dramatic but. Me with out glasses

Slab setup looking fine!!!
Getting poured tomorrow. 15m³ of concrete and a pump truck coming at stupid o’clock in the morning.
These nutters work Saturday as well as Monday-Friday. I’ve almost forgot what it’s like to go to work now!
I’ve decided I’m going to epoxy the floor as soon as it’s built. White, titania, or light grey? I’m leading towards titania at the moment. Definately no garage carpet, replaced the last carpet in my house with recycled timber boards a couple years back, wished I done it sooner.
Yeah concreters are mad dogs. Some of our guys work 12hr days 6 days a week.
Titania looks good, are you gonna do a texture or anything like that or just smooth? Epoxy is def the go for durability and ease of maintenance
Cute one of our crews had 380m3 in before 8.30am this morning!
“In” where exactly? I’ve always been suspicious of how excited those guys get about their pump trucks…
Into the slab!!
Big multilevel carpark, that was one of the deck pours, the one before that was 480m3 in by 11am.
For those big pours they were running two big boom pumps with trucks just dumping concrete into them back to back.
Both days boys started at 4am through to after 4pm. Big pours!
Back pain indeed, most people think you pour it, hardly, . I’ve seen 36” ductal iron pipe float if not tied down in concrete. And what it does to skin and leather
I got my hole filled today. Lots of concrete and steel. A real concern is that by the time I’ve done all this, I won’t have enough left to spend on doing the things in the building. Jokes aside though, hopefully I’ll build some nice boards in there once it’s done (that aren’t just more 12S8P evolve GT’s, although i did start gelcoating for another enclosure today since remembering there was another stock GT in the spare room).
Congratulations on getting your hole filled.
We got just about nothing done on Friday ( Black Friday is not just a Steely Dan song) the people who were there were just signing in then, if you can find someone to ask” where is Jason?” The answer to where is any of us on a Black Friday is, I just saw him on the other side of the job ( you can’t see across the entire project, too big)
Looks like they did a nice form job. I applaud the thickens edges and grade beams. Nice work. Trades people spend so much time doing our craft , I find shotty work makes me grumpy. We don’t get up at 4 am to be hacks , we can sleep till 9 and still do crap work
