Thanks. It has two lighting circuits in it. One off the hallway sensor, the other on with the lights so the contrast stays consistent when the laundry lights are switched on.

I am super curious if anyone has taken after car culture with hood ornaments? A la hick town trucks or rolls?:sweat_smile::rofl::sweat_smile:

I figure a mountainboard could use some horns and say a skp mag, could use a rolls ornament on the anti sink

Or some kind of duck creature :sweat_smile::rofl:

Something like this ?

I am very jealous of the dickless duck handles :rofl::sweat_smile: but im more so thinking if you took the centre cutout from that and stood it on your anti sink like that hung duck is riding with you?

@jamie I forgot to do this earlier but I’d like to formally apply for the title of

Thank you for your consideration

Can anyone ID this raptor? It was at the Lafayette Reservoir. In Sf east bay.

We thought it was some type of eagle, but we couldn’t find any matching species

Looks an Enertion Raptor 2.0 with R-Spec wheels.

Color is off but it could be the pic. Looks like a juvenile bald eagle?

The color was fairly accurate,it was a bit mottled but a pale off white. The sky was overcast,so it made the picture bad. The bird was easily 2x the size of the largest red tailed hawk I’ve ever seen. It also was making a noise I associate with an eagle much more than a hawk. We asked at the nature center and the rangers were at a loss. I’m stumped. For reference there were large vultures in the same tree and this bird was bigger than them.

We do have some bald eagles in the area to be sure.

Do you know what community you’re talking to? :joy:

I just removed an outer bearing race from inside a BNM1 wheel gear… I feel like a god.

not really, the humility is overwhelming. I’m just glad the hard part is over though.

Wondering if you’re liquid cooled or air cooled?

Quick story time:
I used to spend a lot of time at an RC shop as a youngin’ one day a gentleman came in asking some battery questions since weren’t working as they were supposed to.
The owners of the shop tell him
“you can’t charge a LiPo battery with a NiMh charger, that’s a huge fire hazard”
His reply:
“Ohh, that must be why my van caught on fire… Twice.”

So that was… Something.

Has anyone else had problems getting support from Propel?
I’ve never gotten a response back from them from either services@ridepropel or mkt@ridepropel. I’ve not been on social media for years, so I can’t facebook, or tweet @ them. Hopefully someone from Propel sees this and reaches out to help me.

I’ve recently installed the Endeavor2 Gear Drive on my GT.
The hardware install went great, really clear and simple instruction video on their YT channel.
But now that it’s installed, I’m having problems.

So to start with, the gears in the drive are arranged in a way that makes the wheels run backwards. Thats fine, I guess…
It runs awesome on the bench, in fact its so fast and torquey that the tires balloon a bit at full speed… Which is awesome, it didn’t do that with the belt/pulley setup. But once off the bench, the board has no torque and no brakes.
As soon as I stand on it and try to go, all the torque is gone, it takes several seconds for the board to get to even a modest speed… And then, No Brakes!
I noticed that “kick-to-start” also no longer works with the Gear drive installed.

I can change the remote to run the board in reverse and that’s an ok fix for the direction, I guess, but the board struggles to even push me forward and once I am moving, I can’t stop. (in only 5’4" 150lbs)
So, it’s basically unridable with the gear drive.

Also, on top of having no torque and no brakes, out of the box the right side gear drive binds a bit about every 1 1/2 turns of the wheel. And there is quite a bit of backlash in the gear drives too. Holding the motor bell, you can rotate the tire back and forth about 1/4".

I used Valvoline Full Synthetic SAE 10W-30 Oil. Propel recommends 10W-30 or 20w-30. Filled to the proper recommended level (35ml).

Also, this seems really strange to me, but there was no logo or markings on the box, no serial number on the gear drive, no label or sticker on the box, no barcode, no product registration information, No “QC Pass” sticker. Nothing, just a blank black box wrapped in what felt like cling film and a bunch of clear packing tape. which is strange considering my board came with no less than 5 Serial # stickers. Even had an extra matching serial # sticker on the remote.

It’s almost like the gears I was sent were either a pre-production sample or maybe leftovers from the Esk8 Expo.

Anyway, I went back to the belt drive and the board runs like it always has… Kick-to-start works again, and the board had plenty of GO and stopping power…

So, what am I missing!?
FOC setting changes to account for the different gear ratio and motor direction?
Defective gears, from factory?
User error? What could I have done wrong, I followed their YT install video.

In said video, they end with “If the gear runs normally and there is no abnormal sound, it indicates that the installation is successful.”
Ohhhh does it now.!?!? hmmmm.

Anyway, Im at a total loss here.
